Red Roof Inn & Suites Jacksonville, NC

Location and price August and the pool/spa was closed. We would never had booked this hotel in the summer had we known this portion was closed. Bathroom was not clean. The doors were not clean. Could clearly see dirty hand prints on all of the doors. The beds sat on a big metal frame that made loud sounds when you moved at all. This place could really use an upgrade.

The only reason I booked this hotel this day was to celebrate the 9th birthday of my autistic twin boys because they specifically wanted to stay in a hotel with an indoor pool to celebrate their birthday. The day of the pump of the pool stopped working and the pool was out of service. Nobody helped me to reschedule my stay or refund my money.

I grabbed this hotel for the reasonable prices. I regret it so much. I will never stay at another Red Roof Inn. Staying in a room on the upper level is awful. We are in our 70’s and had trouble manuvering the step stairs. We had to haul out luggage up and down the stairs and manage them every time we left and entered the facility. The breakfast area was constantly dirty or had empty containers at breakfast hours. We planned on a 10 night stay. In town watching our granddaughter graduate. We left 2 days early

I really enjoyed my overnight at Red Roof in Jacksonville. The room was very clean, bed was comfortable. a very good breakfast. I especially appreciated the staff. They were very helpful and kind.

I liked the indoor swimming pool pool but it was a bit cloudy and the hot tube that was very clean. I just don’t understand why they never left wash cloths when they replenished our towels. I liked the bed toppers that looked modern and clean and also under comforter when it got too cool. Breakfast was nice and a very good price for three nights.

Furniture was in bad shape. My kid saw a bug run behind the dresser. Hair in the tub. The pool was cloudy with a hairy film on top we would not go in it. Breakfast was ok, bed was nice.

We had a very good stay. Loved the indoor pool. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was helpful and friendly. We had no problem with the WIFI. One of the best systems we've encountered. We are seniors and the bed seemed hard. We were really stiff in the morning and both of us had pain in our shoulders. The microwave was broken. It would heat but the inside table was broken.

We stayed here before and had no issues, which is why we booked again…however, this time our room had roaches and we were so exhausted we did not notice it until we woke to shower. Yikes…they scurried and I had to beat a path to the door. Probably will not go back now.

Close to the main road so you hear everything. Also even though the room and hotel were clean some items were part their life cycle and should be remodeled or replaced.
