Best Western Kettleman City Inn & Suites

Tucked back away from the freeway. Was quiet with a well lit parking lot which made it feel safer when checking in late The rooms appeared clean but I did see like 2 or 3 cockroaches in the room which made it feel not so clean. As well as some possible water damage and molding in the bathroom. I arrived after 9 pm and left by 5 am so my time in the room was short.

The location was convenient for an overnight stop on the drive to Anaheim. Check-in was easy, and it was close to the freeway and nearby restaurants. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. The room was very basic, but the biggest concern was cleanliness. After just one night, both of my children woke up with multiple bug bites, and we found live cockroaches in the room. I initially tried to give the property the benefit of the doubt because it’s located near open grassland and desert, but insects inside the room are not acceptable.

The staff was just not informative about amenities, when breakfast was served and about any other amenities.

A very nice hotel near Highway 5 at Kettleman City. The room was very big and comfortable. We had an issue with hte AC and the stuff moved us to a different room immediately. Would definitely come back again. AC is a bit noisy.

Check in was fine and then it all went down hill from there. A couple crickets were found in the room. And there was one in the wall in the bathroom i couldn't get to. I thought no big deal. Took care of those and then went to grab food for family. Came back and getting ready for bed and more crickets , and more crikets. Family was exhausted and we thought we got them all. Nope around midnight more crickets. Got up for a early start for pur 2nd day of driving and guess what more crickets and they had friends, roaches on the bathroom counter in the towels. Shook out all of our belongings and checked out. Went to inform the staff that they need to spray or do some sort of abaitment and they pointed to a sign on their center that said there are bugs and they can't do anything about it. Never saw the sign when checking in, doesn't mean its wasn't there but it should have been brought up. I also said if its this big of an issue that you have a sign it needs ro be disclosed when booking online. The replay i got was did you do third party, I said yes hotels.com and they said if you booked through us it would have said it. Not staying here again. Gross and they don't care.

Clean room good breakfast friendly staff

Clean rooms. Remodeled. Air-conditioning worked well and had no odor. Very pet friendly. Provided dog poop bags and place for pets to relieve themselves.

The fan in the bathroom was very noisy. The worst part was that there were several crickets inside the room, several of them dead but at least 2 were alive. They chirped all through the night and we could not sleep. When we reported this to the front desk, the employee did not seem too concerned.

breakfast not to my liking. However, if you’re a fan of Mexican food, it would be pleasing. The little package of oatmeal did not work for me.. no extras to give it health benefits or taste. (Nuts/raisins etc).

Very clean and spacious room. Partially covered parking. Close gas stations and places to eat. Meals at Dennys were fantasic. This hotel has a full hot breakfast that is amazing. No fresh coffee but there's a machine to get "fancy" coffees. Was safe with room swiping cards to enter the building before getting to your room. Dog friendly and the room didn't smell like pets which was good. A small grassy area to the side/back of building was very nice AND they provided poop bags. The only negative thing was that our laptops would NOT connect to wifi but our cell phones did with no problems. The front desk told us to try something but it didn't work. But she tried. Loved this place!
