The Mauian - Boutique Beach Studios on Napili Bay

Great value. Located directly on a beautiful beach. The gardens and grounds are kept pristine. For a lower budget hotel the gardens match or exceed a luxury resort.

Location is perfect, such a cozy hidden gem. The room is simply decorated but perfectly comfortable and invites you to slow down (no TV). The greenery is beautiful and it has everything you need for a cozy beach stay. Napili beach is walking distance and it's perfect - snorkling is a must. There was a hurricane coming to the island and we lost power for half the stay. It's not the hotel's fault at all, but just keep it in mind that they're a compact hotel, so there's no structure (i.e., generators, free snacks, flashlight, etc) to "overcome" something major like this. They were so kind to refund us for the last day we didn't use the facilities.

The gardens and pool area are well done and full of color. It’s on a very nice beach.

Excellent location right on the beach. Low rise buildings. Good air conditioning and cross ventilation. Less than a block from the bus line. Very Hawiian atmosphere. Garden beautiful.

I stayed with my boyfriend at the resort for 5 nights after last minute plan changes due to hurricane Lowell on Kauai. We are so happy we stayed at the Mauian, it was so relaxing and wonderful. The location is perfect, it's not as commercial as other places like Kaanapali area. Napili Bay beach is absolutely beautiful, also a short 5min walk to Kapalua Beach. There is a market 2min drive (20min walk), Bob's Snorkeling to rent equipment around the corner. Free parking is also a bonus. Our favorite things at the Mauian were enjoying coffee and Hawaiian buns (provided by Mauian) in the morning on the beach, swimming in crystal clear waters (beach chairs, umbrellas, floaties, and beach towels provided by Mauian) and snorkeling nearby, having lunch and dinner at the delicious Sea House Restaurant next door, and watching the sunsets. We had a partial ocean view room #A202 on the second floor, had our own balcony which was so nice. The room was very clean, comfortable, AC was great, option to cook as well. Overall, I can't say enough good things about the Mauian, it exceeded our expectations and I cannot wait to come back.

The hotel is great for what it is. Limited staff and few amenities but very private and well maintained. Great beach, great for kids, great for do-it-yourselfers.

Great hotel, away from the stretch of big hotels but steps from room to sandy beach! Lush greens, cute little pool, bbq to use, basic grab n go breakfast. We loved it

Although there are no restaurants in The Mauian, there are several good restaurants literally next door, and plenty of other options within a few miles. There are also lots of readily accessible sunset cruises/snorkel & dive boats/shopping malls/local tours (Maui Ku'ia Estate chocolate growers/factory - yum!) - go online or ask at the hotel's front desk for recommendations and assistance. 5 stars!
