Fort William Henry Hotel and Conference Center

Room was not ready till after 4pm. It was not easily accessible for my husband & I. It was also not located in the main building. I had no idea there were other buildings! The only nice restaurant on the property was Closed! Apparently it’s closed Monday & Tuesdays this time of year 😡

Great location, amazing view of the lake. Very convenient with plenty of parking and walkable to many shops and restaurants. Staff were friendly and very helpful.

No power for 5 hours no tv internet one whole night. No compensation offered

It is a beautiful location and rooms are nice. The older building does not have an elevator, which is difficult for older people.

We were disappointed with the room. First was the toilet seat was broken. The shower has a half of a door, so when you take a shower, you flood the bathroom floor. The A/C system was very loud; the room was dark as we had to keep the curtains closed so we could have some privacy with all of the people walking by the room and we did not want them looking in our room. My wife said that one of the beds smelled like urine. The floor was half carpet and half vinyl with a dividing strip that when walking bare foot, it felt like stepping on something sharp. There were not enough outlets in the room and the one that were there you had to look at the bottom of the lamps for them as there were none on the walls for us to charge our devices and for me to use my cpap machine.

Location A little pricey,

The Hotel is excellent plenty of parking great pool area and pool and the room was perfect must have been recently renovated and the location is perfect for walking to everywhere I highly recommend the Fort William Henry.

Overall, the hotel met my expectations because I had read the reviews and knew our room would be in the two-story side building rather than the grand main building. While that building and our room felt a bit outdated, we absolutely loved getting a room with a beautiful lake view! The facility has great amenities, including the indoor and outdoor pools, sauna, and jacuzzi, and the location is fantastic. However, we ran into an issue with the room setup. Booking.com listed our room as "sleeps 5," but upon arrival, we were given a room with only two queen beds and no pull-out chair/sofa. There was no way to comfortably fit five people (as three adults/kids cannot fit on a single queen bed). I’m not sure if the issue lies with the Booking.com listing or hotel communication, but it was definitely an unexpected hassle for a group of our size.

I’ve stayed at many of the properties and this is my favorite. The staff are incredibly friendly and the rooms and consistently clean. The views of the lake are amazing! Awesome location for walking to the shops

Staff very helpful and friendly.

I love the fact that you could fill up water bottles for free in the lobby. Many hotels charge you five dollars for a small bottle of water. This was a really nice feature. We also enjoyed the pool and the hot tub.

Just returned from our stay and it was wonderful! You can walk to everything from the hotel and the grounds were gorgeous. Will be staying here again!

Beautiful property in lake George. If you want convenience to be able to walk to where you want to go, this property is perfect. The hotel charm and the history surrounding the hotel was an added surprise. The views from the back patio and pool area of lake George are breathtaking. The staff was very friendly and helpful when asking for recommendations. We enjoyed our stay! We would definitely come back and stay again!
