Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Lansing-Dimondale by IHG

We really enjoyed our stay. Especially the fresh coffee we could get 24/7. I drink decaf so it's hard to find good fresh coffee. Our bed was comfortable, the room was spacious. I wish the bathtub drained a little faster while you're taking a shower. The breakfast was very tasty. Thank you.

Friendly front guest staff. Good selection at breakfast. Clean and a good value. The only critique is there's not much else in the area so plan to drive for the restaurants or activities.

The hotel water pressure was low and hot water for shower was limited. The hotel staff double booked our room making for an unsafe stay during the 2nd night of our stay.

The exterior and lobby of the hotel were very nice. The woman working the desk was outstanding—great personality and hardworking. She was also working hard the next morning at breakfast, which was well-stocked and good. However, when we first arrived to our room floor, I was surprised at how old the hallway carpet was. And our room was outdated and in poor condition. An ottoman in the room had visible stains on it. One of the bathroom lights was out. There were rust stains in the tub. The carpeting in our room was old and needed a vacuum. The TV was small and kept losing signal. We were tired and still got a good night’s sleep because the bed and pillows were comfortable. Hopefully the rooms are going to be remodeled soon because ours was not anywhere near as nice as other Holiday Inn Express hotels we have stayed at.

The location was convenient, and the hotel had the potential to be a nice place to stay if things are worked in and upgraded. Unfortunately, our overall experience was overshadowed by other reservations with our room and accommodations that had to be made afterwards. The only staff member that was friendly and decent was the manger Ashe Craig. Our stay was very poor. When we arrived, we were informed that our original room had been given away the night before, even though reservation was booked over a month in advance. I don’t understand the purpose of offering third-party booking options, if guests who book through the hotel directly are going to be prioritized while third-party guests risk having their reserved room given away. If a room is confirmed and paid for, regardless of where it was booked, it should be honored!!! We should not have arrived expecting the room we reserved only to find out it had been given to someone else and then be downgraded to a smaller room. We were placed in a smaller room that did not comfortably accommodate our group, like the original room would have. We had to cram everyone into the room using a sofa bed and a rollaway bed. Both mattresses on sofa bed and rollaway bed were extremely uncomfortable and very springy, where they stabbed into your body. Clearly those mattresses need to be replaced.

Spacious suite, very clean and comfortable. Friendly, competent staff at all hours, and great coffee! Honestly everything was exceptional!

Keep the staff and put in a hot tub

The water pressure in the hotel was terrible.

Ok - we have to ask. What happened to the bathtub drains since we were last there? They are all ringed with rust and it's creepy! Very Stephen King! Other than that, great hotel.

Room was very comfortable only issue our ac unit was very loud when running. Had to turn it off to sleep.

They tacked on a $5 fee that should have been disclosed ahead of time. And this is the second time that I was told I can pay at the property. Each time I tried to pay upon arrival they told me that I will have to wait to pay when I go to check out and then when I go to check out they've been already charged my card. even though I'm checking out as early as 7:00 a.m

No glasses in the room and my reservation was never recorded so I had to pay full price
