Holiday Inn Express & Suites Kansas City - Lee's Summit by IHG

The room was spacious and clean. Nice shower. Breakfast had a good assortment of choices. Great coffee maker. The pool was a nice touch. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Room had a weird smell, but we overlooked it because we were only staying one night and would barely be in the room. However, in the morning I realized how dirty our room actually was. There was dust and food crumbs on the counters by the TV and there was literal crumbs from fried chicken along the bed frames left from someone else before us. On top of all this, check out was at 11am. We slept in and at 9am a staff member knocked on our door and then immediately opened it before I could even get out of bed and answer. So we woke up to a stranger walking into our room. We have stayed here before and it was good, but seems to be going downhill unfortunately.

The room was clean, but had a musty smell, once the a/c was working, the room aired out. The A/C was not working as well as I would have liked.

Breakfast was mediocre. Some items were good, some were poor. Blinds didn't work - at all! Room was like a dark cave.

room was clean, bed was sleep-worthy, except for pillows that flattened easily, breakfast was adequate, except for last day too many people to get access. staff was friendly, knowledgable, and efficient. overall, our stay was pleasing and restful.

Nice hotel overall. Good location. Next time we’ll try for top floor - our only complaint was noisy neighbors (above, next to us and in hallway).

Clean room. Comfortable sleeping, had a room on the 4th floor so no one was above us. Breakfast ok.

Everything was clean in the room. The bed was comfortable. Like most hotels, the pillows are ok but not great. I wish they had a shuttle service because there is a large shopping complex nearby and I wasn’t able to drive my work vehicle over there, so I had to take a Lyft ride. Other than that’s this is a great hotel
