Friendly staff, very clean and comfortable The view

Recently renovated. Nice view of the mountain from the back rooms. Budget friendly. Offer cereal, make your own waffles, bagels and other breakfast items in the morning. Will definitely stay again if traveling that way

Property was clearly older. It was clean and safe to lay your head. Just a basic room for basic needs.

Breakfast was lacking and lobby closes at 10pm

Mahoning Inn is conveniently located near the resort areas of Jim Thorpe and other Pocono outdoor activities. Given its lower cost of overnight accommodation and less congestion around the property, I would recommend it for a short stay. The Inn was well maintained and clean both inside and out. We felt very safe and our needs were met with their amenities. The only downside was that the price Expedia quoted me was not the price I was charged at the front desk.

Not a high end hotel but a very good bargain for staying near Jim Thorpe. I was pleased with our visit.

Bed was comfortable. Shower great. No coffee pot in room. Breakfast minimal.

The staff was friendly, and helpful. The room had everything you would expect, but remember this is an older hotel. The location was great. The refrigerator had not been cleaned out when we arrived and there was extremely old food in it. We did not have towels when we arrived. I was not especially impressed with the breakfast.

Breakfast was convenient, motel was easy to access. We did not stay long but staff was very accommodating during our time there. Check in was very smooth, especially since we got in so late, and it was equally smooth to get going afterwards too. Parking maybe? Overall everything was great, we were at the motel at an unusually busy time of the year (fourth of July weekend and a novelty train ride with the big boy). So I think this was more of the exception than a problem.

Located in a nice green area for a typical motel. The room is simple but nice. ​Breakfast is basic -waffles, bagels, cupcakes, instant oatmeal, bread, tea, and coffee. The only concern was the doors: the entrance door was difficult to close, and the bathroom door closed so loudly that using it at night could wake up someone who is sleeping in the room.

The rooms were updated. The only thing was after the upgrades, they did not put in any cell phone ports.

Property was very clean apon arrival for a motel. Staff was nice and helpful. Got the room next to the lobby. Room was clean, everything was fine except the door was sticking and hard to open every time. The wife is a smoker and every time she went outside she struggled with the door. Other than that, I definitely recommend. One of the staff members recommended a winery in the area that we went to and it was great.

Our room had a new wall air-conditioning that rattled all night long. All the plastic pieces rattled & moaned whenever the compressor turned on & sounded like it would fall apart at any moment. The breakfast was below par unless you like waffles.
