Lexington Expo Hotel by IHG

The room was clean, and Breakfast was good. The not-so-good. The faucet in the bar sink did not work. The hot water at the bath sink and the shower was lukewarm. By lukewarm, I mean just above body temperature. . When we checked in, it was suggested that we use the entrance at the end of the building. That entrance led through an area undergoing extinsive remodel was not suitable for public use. We had a third-floor room, and the main entrance was much closer to the elevator. One of the elevators had a disturbing shudder when stopping. The interior and exterior were not kept clean. Not swept often enough. After reading an obtuse notice about room amenities, I inquired about getting additional towels. During that conversation was told that due to staff shortages, they did not clean rooms daily for multiday customers. Will not return.

The renovations didn’t really bother us except that they were poorly done and not really finished. Lots of areas still look old and nasty. Breakfast was not good, hardly anything available and all bad/cheap quality. The only good thing was that they let us check out after the first night to find a better place for the rest of our stay.

It was disgusting & not as advertised. Ended up having to go to another hotel. Would not recommend staying here.

The hotel was under renovation, so things were a bit chaotic.

This place has really gone down hill. I stay here at least once per year and it gets worse every time. The staff is always nice and it was going through renovation. My room was newly renovated, but it was nasty. There were tooth picks on the floor, the mirror in the bathroom looked like it has mouthwash all over it. The floors in the bathroom had something on it. It was brown, so only one could imagine what that would be. There was hair all over the bathroom floor. The shower was filthy. The body wash was empty. The breakfast was not bad, but they got rid of the refrigerator that had the milk and yogurt. There were no forks and the poor lady who stocked the area was asking for some but the staff acted like she was asking them to hang the moon. They used to have a bar area that served free beer during the week but that’s gone now. I think I will find a different place to stay from now on which is really sad because it’s so convenient for me, but I’ve given them too many chances and have disappointed too many times. Y’all really need to step it up.

Quiet, clean, friendly staff!

It was good. Nothing bad to say due to they were doing renovations. The new items were good. Body wash in bathroom was empty but I had my own. I will stay again I love the location.

We were assigned. Well when we opened the door the room was not cleaned. Beds were not made. The next room we had to move due to a strong order. I will never stay in that establishment again. I should have gotten my money back. I strongly recommend that no one stays at this hotel.

The cleanliness of the entire room. Bath tub was not clean, the walls and the doors had markings on them.

Passable

Good location, nice breakfast, very clean under the circumstances, decent price. The water didn’t get hot-only warm. We didn’t know that renovations were going on until we got to the hotel. We had to change rooms because the pipe under the sink came off and still no hot water.

We had to cancel our room and leave. It was moldy and smelled musty.
