Hampton Inn Linden

My daughter is an athlete and we were in town for a tournament. The fire alarm went off repeatedly during the morning hours which was disruptive.

My number one complaint is the toilet in the room WAS NOT properly cleaned. Someone went number 2 and did not remember to clean the toilet seat which was upsetting to me. I had to use my anti-bacterial wipes to wipe down the whole room to be on the safe side. The room was very spacious because it was a suite, but only had a sofa chair, not a couch which I didn’t like. Storage for baggage and personal items was very good. Tv was huge and my Apple TV worked which made me happy. Very comfy bed. Pool looked nice but did not use. Gym was very good. Location is awesome, right across from an AMC, ShopRite, many places to shop and dine. A bit of a drive from the shore, but doable. Large parking area which I liked and I liked how each parking area had an entrance to the hotel. Felt safe. Best part was breakfast, warm with omelettes, sausage, potatoes (which were very yummy to me), waffle makers with toppings for waffles. Staff was friendly. Just felt like it could be cleaner, there was splatter on wall under the bed. Didn’t like the shower head. I would recommend but I would also try a different hotel if in the area to see if it feels cleaner than this one. Also breakfast area needed to be better maintained as there were many people making a mess and everyone was on top of each other, no space in the food area but decent seating selection. The booths along the wall were a nice touch.

Speechless everything was on point

Had a first floor room. Near the entrance & breakfast area. Check in was quick & easy. Breakfast was great! Lots of hot & cold options. Room was clean. Bathroom stocked with shampoo, soaps & make up remover wipes. Felt hotel was in a safe area. Close to a Target for any forgotten items. Would gladly stay here again.

I was very disappointed with customer service. The lady name Dorie was very nasty on the phone when I explain to her that we were getting late to the hotel . Her attitude was not professional. We arrived at 4 am the Air conditioning was not working, we were so tired we didn’t bother going down to the lobby. I complaint when we got up . They change our room but I had to go twice to remind them about it . Pool water was green . Not clean at all.

This property did not live up to Hamptons standard, or at least the ones we frequent. The AC in the room was extremely loud. The bathroom door could not close. There was a weird smell in the hallways. The coffee station was always dirty. It was not a very comfortable stay. Attention to detail was not present.

No bath towels that surprised me, remaining all good.

We visit every July for the past 5 years. Easy access to the stores and shopping centers.

Room was clean, staff was friendly and helpful, loved the location of the hotel, get for a shopping trip and also close to alot of food options! Will be back again!

The rooms were clean and comfortable, breakfast was delicious everyday,coffee was always available, we stay here each time we come to jersey.

We always stay here when visiting family, even though I keep forgetting to book through Hilton Honors,Staff are welcoming never any issues,Breakfast is wonderful and fresh,great job kitchen staff for always smiling, see you next visit, it has been almost 10 years staying here

Spacious calm good location

I stayed at this hotel from July 24 through July 26. On Saturday, I went out for the day and returned to find that my room had not been serviced. While that was disappointing, I decided to let it go. Later that night, as I was getting ready for bed, I saw a cockroach in my room. I immediately called the front desk, and I was told to wait until the morning to speak with a manager. No one came to inspect the room, offer another room, or make any attempt to address the issue. Since I was out of state and had nowhere else to go, I had no choice but to spend the night in that room. The next morning, I woke up with an itchy neck. When I looked in the mirror, I found several red, swollen bumps that appeared to be insect bites. When I went to check out, I asked to speak with the manager, only to be told that no manager was on duty. This was especially frustrating because the night before I had been instructed to wait until morning to speak with one. I was then informed that no manager was even scheduled to come in that day. I later emailed the hotel and included photos of both the cockroach and the bites on my neck. Despite providing documentation, no one ever responded or followed up with me. For convenience of location and not over $300/night like many other nicer hotels in the area. Next time I’d splurge or look in different location.
