Loved it all! Wished the hot tubs were bigger as they were PACKED.

We loved that Mission Point Resort was not directly in the chaos of town (we travelled to Mackinac Island in mid-July; peak season). By the time we booked our room, only standard availability. This room was nice and clean, - basic. I would definitely stay with Mission Point Resort again!

Great property beautiful location!!

We stayed in the Straits Lodge building. The hall carpeting is dated and smelly. The room was tastefully appointed with nice bedding. However, only one side of the bed had a bedside table. Our room was not cleaned during the day when we were out. The walls between rooms are so thin we could hear our neighbors clearly and anyone in the hallway. The a/c is a loud floor unit. We had to keep it on so not to hear the neighbors but it interrupted our sleep. Overall, I’d recommend for families but not for singles or couples without children. The staff were amazing - warm, friendly, helpful.

Our family visited for the first time and loved our stay. The location in front of the lake and near the main street is ideal. The resort amenities are useful and relaxing.

The lack of what they promised us and what we got with the rooms was not worth the price we paid and then they kept changing what our discount was because they messed up one of the rooms and we had to drag suitcases all the way to the other end, just not a great experience for an anniversary

We enjoyed our stay at Mission Point. The hotel is old but well maintained and the grounds are beautiful. It’s a bit of a walk to town but a $9 shuttle is available. We chose to walk most of the time as it is a nice walk and not too far. Just FYI, the hotel is long, so the walk to our room was a bit far. Overall, I would recommend this resort hotel as it is reasonably priced.

Great place to say while on the island. Clean rooms, nice staff and a lot of amenities.

Quiet lovely place on the island

Beautiful resort located right across from Lake. Friendly and helpful staff. Room was immaculate. Pool was great. Grounds were beautifully maintained. Nice Adirondack chairs on the lawn across the street from the hotel. Bistro on the greens is owned by the hotel is a nice spot for lunch or to have a drink. Shuttle leaves every half hour to go into town and to the two ferry docks. Overall, a great hotel in a great location with plenty of amenities.

Everything was great

There are a lot of options for staying on Mackinac Island, and Mission Point is one of the largest resorts on the island. They have nice amenities, including bicycle rentals on site. They also have a nice bar/restaurant with views of Lake Huron. The staff was friendly when checking in and were helpful in answering our questions about the island. They also arranged for our luggage to be picked up and a carriage ride to the ferry on the day we checked out. We have stayed at this resort a couple of times now and have enjoyed it each time.

Very clean, grounds were beautiful. They had a little problem with their software and Expedia matching but got it worked out. Overall loved the place! Also liked that it was a very short walk to town yet far enough away for some relaxation.

What a lovely property! The Boxwood Coffee shop was delightful. The distance to the shops was walkable, and horse taxi pickup was available at the front lobby for further adventures. Baggage handling from the ferry was worry free. The flowers, Lake Huron shore, and green areas made for a lovely environment. All in all, it was a perfect place to stay.

Staff was amazing and so helpful and kind. Property had everything you could need. The smoke from all the fires made it not such an ideal trip but everyone at Mission point kept us safe and wanted us to have as good of experience as we could. Would stay again! And we go to mackinaw every year for nearly 20 years.

I rented a "pet-friendly room" so the odor of urine was no great surprise. And the rate was reasonable. By the time I rented there were no regular rooms left. I think the "Straits Lodge" must have been dorm rooms when it was built. The rooms were more compact than a normal hotel room, and slightly smaller than a cruise ship cabin. There was a nice bathroom, a room with 2 queen beds, and almost no other space. A cruise ship cabin would have a small couch and a small desk. This room had one comfortable upholstered chair, there was no room for anything else. The air conditioner was adequate, but was a "dryer hose" type instead of built into the wall - just surprising - it worked fine. Downstairs there was a coffee counter where a light breakfast and a coffee could be bought. In the week I was there I saw multiple groups of folks who were obviously heading for the ferry, who gave up on ordering so as to make it to the ferry on time. In the room there was coffee and a coffee machine.

Great property, room a little dated

Expensive hotel as expected. We stayed in the “Straights” and the room was nice. Portable ac which was fine and did the job. Outside was neglected and needed work and paint. For the price I’d stay closer to downtown next time.

Great amenities on the grounds so you don't always have to go downtown.
