Just a beautiful location and place to stay.

I know this may not be a popular opinion but, the island house was far superior to another Grander Hotel by far. The porch was so private and the view of the harbor spectacular! The restaurant at the hotel was top notch. Excellent food and service. Finally, the location was amazing. A short, easy flat walk to town made it the perfect stay. Highly recommend!

From check-in to check-out, the Island House was amazing. We stayed in a room with a view (rm 300). The room was big, bright & beautiful. The staff was always extremely kind & ready to help in any way. We loved the location to town. This was our 2nd vacation on the island & it was magical.

The room was exceptionally small with nowhere to sit comfortably. The walls were thin and the hallways were very noisy. Our door was not well sanded and difficult to open and close. It was by far the noisiest place we have ever stayed.

This is a great option for people staying on Mackinac Island. Shepler's Ferry delivers your luggage directly to the hotel, which is a very helpful amenity. We enjoyed the hot tub, and dinner at the 1852 Grill Room was the best meal we had on the island. Highly recommend, though I would advise to make sure you book a room with a window view of the harbor (which we did).

Island House Hotel is our favorite place to stay in the island. The staff is always very friendly and attentive, the location is ideal for attractions on Main Street and offers the best view of the harbor, and the restaurants offer exceptional cuisine.

The Island House was a beautiful property and located within an easy walking distance to the town, carriage rides, shops, and restaurants. The BBQ at the Ice House was great. The staff were courteous and very friendly. Delivery of luggage to/from the ferry was easy and timely. The only suggestion I would have is to put some type of ledge or stool in the shower for us ladies.

The hotel is beautiful inside and out! The staff are very helpful and friendly. Food in the restaurant was great. We will definitely stay here again.
