Clifty Inn

It was beautiful and peaceful there. I liked everything.

Great location Room was dusty and had a spiderwebs on the lamps

Our dinner was very good. It was very clean. Our room was on the far end of the building. The desk person told us it was down the hall. We carried our luggage to our room and saw that there was a parking area and an outside door across from our room.

Interesting how all photos of location left out the smoke stacks between the inn and the river. I guess I would too, if I were marketing the inn.

We weren't planning on swimming, but we didn't find out the pool was unavailable until arrival.

We would have liked 2 chairs in our room so both of us could look out to the river. Also a night stand on both sides of the bed. The bathroom was great with extra towels!

Meals were very good. My only recommendation would be grab bars in the tub/shower, and something to put shower products on, perhaps shelves. See above

Location was great! We love the park Our room A/C was really cold & would just keep running even when tried to adjust temp (noisy too!) Our toilet was so low to the ground it could have been a child’s toilet. When you flush it, it was SO loud There was a musty smell in the room (old carpet maybe?) & a dehumidifier in there- wasn’t helping (?)

Bed was very comfortable.

The grounds is lush with greenery. The view from our room was spectacular. Great views of the river and of the town of Madison. We saw a bobcat on the premises in daylight. The facility itself needs updating. In our room the wallpaper was peeling on every seam. The ac made such loud noises when it ran. The patio door was extremely hard to open. The mattresses was worn out and very hard. And there was no bathroom exhaust fan.

Beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows. Ample towels in the bathroom also. Never had to wait for the elevator. Views were great (other than the large factory on the river but that can’t exactly be helped.) Great location within the park. Indoor pool and hot tub were closed during our stay. Restaurant had ZERO music playing while we were in there but the fire alarm did manage to go off FOUR times before I gave up and left with my small children. A few stray hairs in the bathroom and on sheets but overall clean.

Very clean and convenient. Had a room that overlooked the river. Indoor pool was out of service. We had people in the group that picked Clifty Falls because of indoor hot tub and pool. Did say it was out on website when booked.

Peeling and dirty or moldy wallpaper some of it held by staples, closed pool, dusty spider webs, there was clearly a moisture issue as they had a tiny dehumidifier running. The tvs barely had local stations, and wouldn't/couldn't connect to the Internet. Being a bit picky here but there was literally only hand soap as well.

Location, staff and view We were not told pool/hot tub were being renovated. Room had an unpleasant odor / reminded us of old perm solution smell

Clifty Inn is one of the most slept on places to stay in Madison. Great view. Friendly staff. On premise restaurant and super close to downtown. I've stayed many times now. Booking.com messed up the booking. The staff were so incredibly helpful. They got me in a room at the reduced price with a view.

We had dinner at the Inn Friday night and it was excellent!! We later ordered the fried biscuits with apple butter and coffees all around. That was amazing too. The servers were excellent!!! We will be coming back. We had the breakfast buffet the next morning and again EXCELLENT!!! : ) There were four of us in our room and the front desk would only give us one roll of toilet paper. I know seems silly but four grown women in one room........

We didn't eat there. We went there for the location. We were satisfied as is.

There wasn't anything I didn't enjoy.
