Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Madison Southwest, WI

The pool deck had dirty bs David’s and a used tampon on it when we went in at 10:30 am. No one else was there. We asked the front desk to clean it and they brought in 4 pool towels and did nothing. The lobby had trash in it and it was pointed out to the front desk who did nothing for at least 3 hours as it was still there when we returned from errands. There was piles of trash by the side entrance- again front desk was made aware and did nothing. It was so awful we chose to sleep elsewhere 3 nights of the 11 booked. Positives were location, ease of booking, and okay breakfast. Front desk did nothing to make it right. There weren’t even apologies, just excuses. One example was when they were informed about the pool deck the front desk said we can’t control what guests do. While that is true they do have a responsibility to clean up after guests.

Great location There was funny smell like urine coming from under bed and night stand. We told staff when we were leaving. It smelled like a pet maybe caused it but they said they didn’t allow pets

Sheets on one bed were stained, cobwebs along ceiling, bathroom fan didn’t work, air conditioning cooled the room but it still felt damp. (Good for Colorado but not for Wisconsin) Mattress needed replacement, sink stopper in bathroom sink was missing. Exterior “security” door didn’t appear to lock. Other than that, we had a good night aleep

There is a strong urine smell near the door of my room. It’s really unpleasant.

Staff was pleasant and attentive . Additionally, hotel was clean and well equipped. We enjoyed our stay. On an odd note, there was an open bag of uncooked rice propped in our hallway, evening and morning.

Staff was great. Room was comfortable. Only issues were ice machines were broke the whole visit. Would have liked to see more variety of breakfast foods.

Nice hotel location

We like everything about this hotel. The staff is amazing, I've had a major health issue over the past year that I had surgery for a year ago and we stayed here then and for my follow-up appts, and they still remember me and ask how I'm doing. Our room was spacious and comfortable, pool wasn't real cool, hot tub was nice. I highly recommend them. NA

Room was nice and pool was good, though there weren’t towels stocked. Breakfast was great, and location felt quiet despite being near a major roadway. Staff was great!

This hotel is run down. Not very clean either. Bed was not comfortable.

Loved the staff. They were very friendly people. The room was fine, nothing super special, but nice. Would stay here again.

The staff was friendly and helpful. Everything was clean. Breakfast was satisfactory; but the biscuits were hard. Overall very good.

5/5 Excellent My room - my room 118, must had water damage from the above floor. So massive water stains. Cosmetic within the room. I think there was food splatter on the wall where the refrigerator was located. The pool area looked like it needs some heavy remodeling. There’s a door to nowhere in the pool area (2nd floor) that looks super tacky. The conference room which you walk past looks like more of a storage unit - block that windows from customers peeking in there. Looks tacky. The hotel was conveniently located with graduation activities from uofw Madison. So location was good in terms of being near family.
