Hampton Inn & Suites Mansfield

The front desk was very helpful when I approached them about a minor medical issue which required a later check-out time. They were very understanding and worked with me to determine how much extra time we needed.

Good breakfast but it was only lukewarm.

The hotel was great! Friendly staff, clean, excellent breakfast. The jets weren't working on the whirl pool but we could still get in and enjoy the heat.

When I arrive to the hotel, I thought it’s pretty secluded but very clean on the outside. I get to the front desk where there’s a gentleman there to check us in. I confirmed our check out at noon. He proceeded to argue that checkout is at 11:00 AM And stated that we should not believe everything that we see on the Internet. He continued to argue, even after showing the confirmation from the hotel. He didn’t speak of any of the amenities, but chose to tell us how wrong we were over one simple confirmation of the checkout time. I found out that the amenities were kind of subpar, considering the hot tub was not working. I hope it is because they are going to do a thorough cleaning. Other than that, the rooms were nice and somewhat roomy very little wait time for the elevators and the continental breakfast would be about what you would expect. I did however, like that there was a 24 hour self serve coffee bar with both decaffeinated and regular coffee, hot water for tea with a variety of flavors and I think they also had hot cocoa with all the normal condiments.

The biggest complaint was the noise from all the other rooms. All the doors on our floor, including ours, slammed clised and could be heard continuously throughout the evening. The walls are extremely "thin" and you could hear conversations from each neighboring room, as well as every passerby in the hallway. Very noisy. The lighting in all the room lamps are a cheap bright white which gives more of an institutional feel, rather than a warm cozy atmosphere. The TV is set to "motion smoothing" which makes anything you watch feel cheap and unrealistic. It's a horrible setting that ruined TV time before bed. This setting isn't available to change by the guest. Lastly, the hot water in the shower was warm at best. The water pressure was low, the shower head was mostly blocked and ultimately, not a great experience. The room was clean, the bed was firm yet comfortable and the hotel was ok for one night. But for a price of just under $600 for two nights, my expectations were higher. I will say, the included breakfast was exceptionally good though.

Doors are very loud when opened and closing.

Location excellent. Breakfast was nice. Loved the pillows. Toilet is way too low. Jacquizi did not work. Room smelled like cigarettes.

This hotel is relatively new and well-maintained. We always stay here on our trip to and from New York to visit family.

Stayed here for a quick girls weekend with my niece. We were looking for a place to just relax and this hotel was great. The employees were very friendly and the room was very clean. I wish we would have gotten a chance to use the pool, it looked very inviting.
