We like it fine. We only stayed one night. Enjoyed town. Hard to think we would stay another night. Just not much to offer.

They no longer offer breakfast on site so they told us vouchers were in our room to use at the Muffin Shop. So we checked out at 11 went sightseeing and shopping around the historic downtown and popped into the muffin stop around 1:30 pm. The restaurant wouldn’t accept our vouchers. Said they were expired. They expired at like 11:20 am. I called the hotel and they said that they are valid for 24 hours from the time that they print them off. Which they print them off the day before and put them in your room leaving them valid for only the morning of when you check out. I said why would you get vouchers that expire in the morning of checkout when you don’t even check out until 11 AM? They should be good for 24 hours basically from when you check out. The hotel would do nothing to honor it or make it right. Luckily, the muffin shop was super sweet and still took the amount off our tab. Hotel Marblehead needs to fix this issue.

The Hotel Marble was a dream come true. Wonderful property, great staff, and welcoming rooms.

Generally ok. Hotel seemed low on resources. Check in closes after 6pm and no one on site; it felt deserted. That said, we were welcomed with very a friendly, informed, efficient front of house - coffee tea and water available. Apparently, the hotel has changed hands and has new management - no breakfast available. We complained - we were grateful for a generous refund. That said, photos of the breakfast on hotel website and Expedia reviews of excellent breakfast are irrelevant. We are very grateful for the hotel’s method of resolution. However, otherwise we were offered a $7 per person voucher to buy breakfast at the Muffin Shop which was 2km away. It was just enough for a feta and spinach croissant. For the hotels information - if you are to offer a voucher please consider a value which reflects enough to buy a decent breakfast and coffee (most breakfast items on their menu are $15 or thereabouts). Whilst I acknowledge that the Muffin shop is not an extension of your hotel, the (lack of) warmth of the welcome at the store doesn’t reflect well on the hotels choice of ‘breakfast partner’. Nonetheless - we were very grateful of the hotel’s /Expedia’s resolution and everything otherwise was generally satisfactory. We would recommend window cleaning (which were very dirty) and attention to the window blinds which had to be lowered manually as there were no pulleys attached

Property itself was lovely and location was great. Staff very nice. We had cold showers both days and there’s no breakfast. They give you a breakfast voucher but you have to drive to the restaurant and then only get $7 off. There’s a keurig in the lobby, but no fresh coffee until 10:00 am. Staff is only on-site from 10-6.

We just got home after spending our honeymoon in Marblehead. The Hotel Marblehead is a great stay for anyone looking for a clean, relaxing, and quaint get away. They worked with us via phone/email to set up after hours check-in. Our rooms were cleaned/made up everyday upon request. There is off street parking and I would highly recommend you take advantage of it. They do give breakfast/meal vouchers each day to a local business called the "Muffin shop." For those traveling, we decided to rent a car to get around Marblehead and we used the commuter train(s) via swampscott and Salem to get into Boston and then used the subway system in Boston as well as walking to get around. Something to note: Marblehead does not have any gas stations so be aware of that. Overall, it was a great stay. We found a few eating places for those that are visiting the area to also check out these include: Maddies Sail Loft, Barnacle, Fresca, and Driftwood. If you also need additional supplies/accessories look into Crosby market and there is a CVS in town as well. Overall, Marblehead is a great town with friendly people. The Hotel Marblehead is a great place to stay and somewhere my wife and I plan to stay again.

Marblehead itself is a quaint little town not far from Boston for an easy day trip by commuter train.

This is not a hotel. There is no full-time reception or usual hotel amenities. Neither is it a B&B, as there is no breakfast at the property. A voucher for $7 was provided for a cafe needing a 2 mile round trip; the amount just about covered a muffin and a small coffee. It feels more like managed rooms. The room and communal areas are pleasantly decorated, clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom, however, needed a refurb with peeling paint and damaged vanity unit. The room lacked a mirror and there was insufficient storage for clothes - no drawer unit and only 4 coathangers. There was no in room coffee making facilities or other such amenities you may normally expect. For the premium price charged we expected something special but this was very poor value for money.

Cute, cozy, and conveniently located to lots of things to do.

Location , cleanliness and very comfortable bed No frills, pretty basic

A quaint home that wax turned into a hotel.

Staff were great. Father from the Marblehead seafront than I thought and from the downtown…Rooms updated, but paint peeling, nice bathrooms, storage for women, can’t open any windows in our room, stuffy old ac units in windows . no usb plug ins. Side tables kinda low for bed. The hotel looks amazing from outside but ac units in windows detract from in and outside. Mayer we just aren’t historic property people. Breakfast had nice fresh mixed fruit cut, yogurt, croissants, store bought muffins and sugary small boxes of cereal. Coffee was pods in the earlier morning and they ran out, Sunday breakfast at 830- kinda late for most travelers- had carafe coffee in pot when breakfast served. I think it’s a charming hotel and we just aren’t those people for that

The old mansion has good bones and having a cup of coffee early morning outside with birdsong and the company of turkeys can't be beat. Our room was small with one window that had an air conditioner in it so we were unable to have the fresh night air. Otherwise all was fine.

Clean, good parking, cute decor
