Travelers Lodge Motel Marshall

Very clean and comfortable. Hot water was truly hot, bed was super comfortable, frig is the largest I've ever encountered in a motel/hotel, actual glassware (not plastic). Quiet neighborhood allowed for a good night's sleep. Parking was right outside my door which made it super convenient for carrying my stuff in.

The staff were incredibly helpful during check-in!

It was a fine motel with good service. The only thing that holds it back from excellence is a faint sense of staleness. But at the end of the day it is a great place to be with a great price.

Very nice place to stay, off the main road easy accessible! Nothing wasn’t working which is a big plus for a place to stay, not many minor inconveniences either! Worked well with a late check in too even with the check in deadline. Would stay again

There were missing amenities that I would expect to be there. Only two tiny bars of soap were in the room. No shampoo or conditioner. No lotion. The two pillows provided were THIN. We had to ball up clothes and coats to make useable pillows. We didn't bother to ask for extras. The bed was pretty stiff. I would prefer there were disposeable cups instead of the two glass ones provided. It was inconvenient to use a glass again for a different beverage without washing it out somehow. I asked for lower level but was given a room upstairs. The rattley door knob itself locked, but there was only the slide over kind inside to back it up. Didn't feel really secure in there. The room was very clean. The in house dog, Sully, was friendly, as was the owner. Coffee for breakfast was available. The price was cheaper, but if you have back problems find another place to stay. If you are a construction worker who comes back dead tired and won't mind sleeping on a bed that feels like the floor, then I would say have at it for the price.

The owner was a nice guy, very pleasant and helpful. There was a guest across from me on the upper level that kept come out of his room and screaming at himself " God damn it, shit, *uck" and smacking himself in the head. It made me rather worried and uncomfortable. My room had a sticky dampish spot on the carpet in front if the frig.

Bruce was wonderful! Great room, and water pressure was exceptional, if that's a thing. Just know , this place is a great value.

My three major criteria for room evaluation are 1) quality of bed and pillows 2) excellent TV with a good variety of channels and 3) a great shower in the morning - enough hot water, enough pressure and perfect temperature. Score! Score! and Score! Bonus: parking is right outside your door. This property doesn't offer amenities that other properties do and you save money accordingly. My next time in Marshall, I will be staying there again.

Not secure. Hotel room is entered from the outside. Only a basic metal key is issued. Poor security otherwise fine.
