Quality Inn & Suites Metropolis I-24

Hotel had a musty smell, room was clean but had a musty smell, beds however were comfortable, for a one night stay it was fine.

Hotel is pretty run down and dingy. Sheets were questionable on cleanliness. Disappointed after reading reviews.

The outside of building needs some attention. Rooms clean but my toilet didn't work. Staff was pleasant.

When would they learn? Since options are limited people just put up with the place.

This property is in desperate need of some cleaning and upgrading. The hallways and rooms smell like a combination of mildew and bug spray. We got into our room only to find the window was broken and covered with tape. Something sticky had been spilled all over the tv and never cleaned. There were literally cobwebs in the corners. The pull out sofa bed linens had never been changed and had food wrappers all over. The air conditioner was leaking and the floor next to the bed was soaked. There was no toilet paper in our room. When I told them about the sofa bed, they just gave me clean linens to change it myself. It was awful! The pool room had one flickering dim light so you couldnt even see the pool to swim.

The rooms smelled musty; the coffee and juice/water/ice machine were broken. Breakfast foods were not replenished. Swimming pool was dirty, could not swim.

Refrigerator had leftover lunch meat and vegetables from previous guest inside upon check in. No soap at/near sink. Only dispenser was a lotion dispenser. Nearest dispenser was attached to the shower wall. There was no bar soap.

The staff took care of any problems we had. Our room was not the cleanest and they found us a different room quickly. Breakfast did not have any protein but it had the other things I would expect from staying with this branch.

Be careful here, I set up for two days I get there and check in and get told that I have no reservation even though I payed and had proof, the dates has been changed, so we pay for another room, and am told to call for a refund.I called for a refund get told wait 24hrs , tell the receptionist that I have them going to call, and then get emailed false paperwork.

Easy access off the highway The lobby doesn’t stink… you get to the rooms old musty smell they are so damp the sheets feel wet when trying to sleep, so gross would not stay again we booked late at night to get 6 hours of sleep during a 19 hour drive I would not bring a single thing in this room the smell was so bad in the room the sheets smelled musty the previous people’s food still in the fridge the only reason we slept here is pure exhaustion & thankfully no visible bed bugs

Didn’t stay any nights. Toilet had urine stains on it, bugs on the floor and when I pulled sheets back fo inspect bed there were hairs all over. Ask for my money back all but $50 because I needed a shower badly. They agreed to that, then later that night was charged for $55 and $114 rather than a credit for $114. Now they are playing with my card. An actual credit for $169 followed immediately by a charge for $164. I have had to block my card until this gets straightened out.

The beds were comfortable. The whole place was super unclean. Stains on the bedding the floor and the walls. The bathroom was the worst of it, it had a gas station feel to it, the tub was very scuffed and rusted and made it look up clean. The floors were sticky. The worst part was that our toilet paper roll that was on the holder was damp and moldy, and had prints from the blue wrapper on it. So it seemed like it was damp before they took the wrapper off and put it on the holder, which is super gross. The breakfast area had flies everywhere and everything was running out or was many never filled even though it wasn't that busy. It definitely was bot worth the money and if I had the extra money we would have moved to another place for the night.

One of there maids scared my child during a tornado warning saying outloud "We are going to die!" My wife told her to stop and they got into an argument - ended up - the maid called the police on my wife - the policeman told us that they had been called about her multiple times. WHAT A DISASTER!

Check-in time was 3:00. We arrived at 3:30 and we were told room was not ready to come back in 20 minutes. No apology just a very blunt “Come back later”. So we go sit in the parking lot for 30 minutes, go in, and she says “wait here“ and then jogs down the hallway. 5-10 minutes later she returns and hands me our room key. I assume she was stalling so the room would be ready. We grab our bags and get to our room just as our door is closing and the woman that is cleaning goes into the room across the hall. We had to push her cart and move some cleaning supplies away from our door so that we could get in. Again, no apologies while she stood and watched us move her stuff. The room itself seemed clean, except for the bathroom. No soap, shampoo, or conditioner, and the toilet, obviously did not get cleaned. As for the room, there were no cups or coffee packets and no bedding for the sofa bed. My daughter and I walk in the pool room and there was no chlorine smell at all. One of the ladders were broken so there was a sign taped to it saying “use other ladder”. She goes to the other ladder and the top step is broken. I spent 10 minutes finding the bolt and fixing the ladder myself. The pool had a ring of dirt(?) all around the bottom and there was white stuff floating everywhere. It looked like toilet paper. I noticed the pump was off so there was no filtration. A worker told me “Why would we run it when no one is here?” We were in there for 15 minutes and felt slimy. Stay away!
