Disappointed disgusting no pool available no breakfast as they offered me

First, the hotel staff was not helpful whatsoever. There was no direction on how to get to my room. They gave me parking directions, but there was no signage outside of the buildings or when you enter the building to see where the room is. You literally have to walk around to figure out where your room is. There is random signage on the walls, but nowhere that makes sense. The doors are SO heavy, and when you have to use a room key to enter or push a button to exit, it makes exiting with a stroller unbearable. I mean, the doors were unbelievably old and heavy. There was zero indication that I would need to pay $250 upfront for a security deposit. The front desk gave me no instructions on check-out time or what time breakfast was. I tried to use the pool, but it was way too small and crowded to actually use. It rained for a little bit, and in just two hours, the roads were flooded. I couldn’t access the parking lot without risking my car by driving through flood waters, and this was after minimal rainfall. It’s a mess of a property. The room itself was fine, but again, there was a heavy 80s-style sliding bathroom door that was unbelievably heavy and took major effort just to get in and out of the bathroom. I hated this property.

We had already driven three hours and was tired. We had to go back to the front desk and of course we got the room we paid for however the toilet wasn’t working. We were so fed up at that point we just used the bathroom to bathe and went to the toilet in the lobby

The hotel itself was old and had humidity issues. They had posted everywhere to leave all doors closed due to condensation. We noticed the issue when on day one of leaving pool door cracked, the clewing was literally dripping with water and the beds were wet. No real difference at night as in the morning, with doors closed, our towels and bath suits were "hanging" soaking wet! Spoke to front desk 3 times, sent employee to check lock. Their key worked, ours didn't. They sent me to front to replace my key, TWICE and still didn't work. Promised they would send someone back to look into it because it obviously wasn't the lock but the key and another day went by with wet ceilings and bed because they never sent anyone back to help us with the problem. All this mess made me late to my work meeting I had traveled for. Needless to say, breakfast was good but they didn't allow food out. I wanted to take a small Plate of eggs, sausage & a mini muffin to son who was still sleeping but food isn't allowed out of restaurant. So much for sleeping in on vacation!

On arrival, the receptionist was not very welcoming. He seemed more interested in his phone or reading a book than assisting guests. His attitude was unfriendly, and he appeared uninterested in doing his job. Overall, he gave the impression that he could not be bothered to provide good customer service, which made for a poor first impression. The other members of staff were friendly, approachable, and happy to assist whenever needed. The room was serviced during our stay, but we were not provided with fresh towels. When I asked for clean towels for two people in the evening, I was given only one bath towel, one hand towel, and one face cloth. I was told that this was all they had available, which was disappointing and not what I would expect from a hotel.

I was pleasantly surprised that the hotel was well maintained and had a nice appearance once you enter. Check in personal was lacking friendliness. Room was spacious, clean and bed was comfy. Breakfast was better than I expected. Upon arrival we were greeted by Tom, who is definitely an asset to the restaurant, friendly, hospitality with great charm. Plenty of food options and the fruit was fresh. Definitely would stay again.

I mentioned to the front desk person while checking out the next day, and he said it was common since Florida is very humid! I have been in Florida most of my life, I know how florida is, bedding does not normally just "get wet".

Was happy that they now have complementary breakfast and laundry facility.

I have stayed here about 9 times.. I love this place. Now it has been renovated which makes it even better. Great Pool areas, Gym is awesome and new, tennis courts are great. The Steak house Restaurant is World Class!! The near by shops/restaurants within walking distance make this hotel and hidden gem in an amazing area. Will continue to stay when I visit Miami. Excellent in all facets!!!
