Absolutely love this place. The pools, grounds, rooms, and restaurants are so clean and well maintained. The staff is so friendly and helpful.

This beautiful property is under a lot of construction which was notified ahead. However, access and noise were issues and the room itself has some disappointing foibles. Not a low cost room either-and several functional issues were present including broken mini fridge, glitchy tv, thermostat, and cockroaches inside found near the deck. A little surprising for a pricey room at a renovated space.

Construction going on the WHOLE time. Woke up to the sound of jackhammers every morning! So much for a quiet getaway…

Everything was perfect and want to visit again.
-
They do it right from the top to bottom!

Booked a balcony room, and technically there was a balcony, but not private like the photos advertised. The pools were nice, but had to pay extra for the crater, the "seventh" pool. They are still building so even though the views were nice, the construction was really loud and made the environment chaotic.

We have been going to The Homestead for 40 years and have followed the construction over the past few years. It will be an amazing resort.
-
The property will be beautiful at some point The resort is a very active construction zone - and is very dangerous. The staff repeatedly did not follow through on commitments and blamed other people for their failures. The room I received was not one I booked and we didn’t get in until 2.5 hours after check in time.

Loved the crater and pool area the most! Will definitely be back!

What made it more frustrating was that the resort seemed only partially occupied during my visit, yet the rates still felt quite high considering the conditions. Given the construction and reduced guest experience, I felt the hotel was overpriced for what was offered. At a minimum, I believe guests should be informed in advance about the construction and offered discounted rates or some form of compensation for the inconvenience. Customer service was also lacking. There appeared to be only one person working the front desk, and they were constantly busy on the phone. There was little to no acknowledgment of guests standing there, no eye contact, and no apology or explanation regarding the construction noise and dust. A simple acknowledgment of the inconvenience would have gone a long way. Overall, Resort has potential but the undisclosed construction, noise, dust, lack of customer service, and full-price rates during a disappointing and not worth the price paid.

Location, set up, ambiance. Pillows were not great

My kids and I had a blast! The rooms were spacious and the pools were fantastic. There were fire pits spaced around, people were playing large Jenga on the lawns and it was very peaceful!

They are in the middle of a huge construction project, making the “homestead feel” almost completely erased. You would only know the original homestead properties if you’ve been there in the last 25 years. But the pool is AMAZING!!! That in itself is worth going, however I think they’re going too corporate and will eventually price themselves out of my network. I’ve really enjoyed staying there over the past.

Nice, but still under construction

Excellent

The propert is beautiful and currently undergoing a ton of renovation so we couldn’t take advantage of all the amenities. The staff were helpful and kind. We overall loved our stay!

We recently stayed at the Homestead for one night and enjoyed our visit. The property is currently undergoing renovations, so some areas were under construction during our stay. Even so, the staff was friendly, and had a great time swimming in the crater. We look forward to returning once the renovations are complete.

This is an amazing place and also is heavily under construction, so it doesn’t have a nice landscape feel (yet). The various hot spring fed pools are wonderful and well worth the stay. The adjacent crater is a fabulous natural feature, but we were not sure it was worth the money for the one hour swim given how small the swimming area is and that you do it in a timed group.

Loved it such an amazing place!
