The area is lovely, despite the construction going on and the room (1011) was very cute and comfy but did have several issues: The refrigerator door stuck and so you had to yank on it to open it, the shower had a few hairs in it (probably from the rush cleaning job), the shower head had hard water/mildew/mineral build-up on it and there was no iron/ironing board. The real issue was checking in and staff. We were eager to check-in on time so we could clean-up before our evening plans but staff informed us, without apology, that the room was not ready because most rooms were sold out the day prior from a big corporate event. Sorry, but that is not my problem. I paid to have a room ready at 4pm and it wasn't. No compensation offered. Got a call at almost 5pm that it was ready but we were already at our commitment for the next few hours. When we did check-in later, the staff didn't inform us that we could park in a lot much closer and convenient to our room. A guest shouldn't have to figure that out...you should anticipate and ask. That is what hospitality is all about.

Everything good

This place was so much fun, the kindness of the people was unmatched!! So different from where I’m from, so polite and helpful here. Great job!! Pools/hot tubs very clean and inviting. Loved every minute here and hope to be back soon!

It's a beautiful serene property. The pools and hot tubs are amazing. They are doing a good job of still finishing some of the construction projects while making it a great place to stay. The ice cream at the Milk House was so yummy and the pool side service from the 1886 grill was top notch.

Construction was going on while we were there. The rooms were clean and the staff was great. The breakfast at the grill was over priced.

This was a hard one for me. The rooms are always great and quiet. Getting to them on the other hand, not easy. There are golf carts driving around but maybe someone meeting you would be better. It is under construction... But all of the rooms are just as expensive, without all of the benefits of the full resort. There is a restaurant (Bar and Hamburger/hotdogs), not what was expected. The property is updated and so are the pools 100% better than the older ones, so there is some better things. If you are looking for an all inclusive stay, this is not it. It will be one day but not today.

The best things about Homestead were the helpful staff, the pools, and the beautiful setting. Staff members are happy to drive you around the property in golf carts, which was especially helpful given the size of the resort. There are three pools and three hot tubs, and the pool area has a full bar and restaurant. The quality of service at the pool restaurant varied, but it was wonderful to let the kids play in the pool while I enjoyed a glass of white wine and some delicious pork belly lettuce wraps. The scenery is another major plus. Midway is beautiful, and Homestead is a lovely setting for a resort. We even saw a deer on the grounds. There are a few downsides. The property is currently under construction, so some areas are less polished than they will presumably be once the work is finished. The coffee line at the Milk House can also be quite long, and the café seemed understaffed during our visit. Parking is somewhat limited for a resort of this size. That said, the parking situation wasn't a major inconvenience because staff will come pick you up in a golf cart and help with your luggage, and it is FREE. Great! Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!

We had no internet, so I couldn’t work like I had planned. The in room phone didn’t work because it’s tied the the WiFi that didn’t work. I call them 10x over 3 days from my cell phone and no one answers my calls or voicemails. Having to walk from one end of the property to the front desk each time we had an issue or needed ice - got old.

Room was very clean and staff was wonderful

Super helpful staff. The pool area is great. Even with all the construction going on, the gardens are well-kept, and there are plenty of workers to zip you around the resort in golf carts without any wait.

We really enjoyed our time here, we will be back. Only thing missing was a microwave in the hotel room, to heat up leftovers, make popcorn and to feed littles. Also needed more lights on pathways from pool but I think that is only due to construction and will be lit up once completed. But the service, resort, food, coffee and pool areas were 10/10!!

Perfect relaxing soak in the crater on a perfect property.

A bellman collected my bags, drove me to check in, then drove me to my room. The resort is fantastic. It's in the process of being renovated, so there was a little construction noise. But, that's only a minor issue. The rooms were fantastic! A much needed, relaxing stay. Thanks to all at Homestead Resort.

The pools were nice but the pool heater broke our first night there and it made swimming after sundown unpleasant. Lots of construction going on which blocked some walking paths. No lights on the sidewalk between the pools and the check-in desk, which was very dangerous. Parking was a joke, if you leave during the day you’ll be lucky to find parking because most of it is taken by individuals visiting the Crater.
