Holiday Inn Express Morgantown by IHG

Breakfast was good. Must have the employee to beep you into the 24/7 gym before 7am. Also, tp in the common area was barely stacked.

Additionally, the elevator was not functioning properly, requiring us to use the stairwells, where we observed multiple holes in the drywall and other signs of deferred maintenance. These issues contributed to the overall impression that the property is in need of significant repairs and upkeep. I do want to recognize the hotel staff, who were friendly, courteous, and appeared to be doing their best to assist guests despite the condition of the facility. My concerns are not with the employees, but rather with the overall maintenance and cleanliness of the property. I hope management will invest in comprehensive cleaning, pest control, and much-needed repairs to improve the guest experience. With attention to these issues, the hotel has the potential to provide a much more comfortable stay.

Everything was ok except the young receptionist at the main desk in the morning was rude and giving me attitude for no reason.

Right off the highway with quick access to gas and anything you’d need before hitting the road. We were looking forward to the pool but it was clear this pool doesn’t get cleaned and it was so filthy that people were able to write words on the pool, including profanities. The pool would be nice if you couldn’t see the grime everywhere. Please clean your pool, it’s really disgusting.

I advised I would be early the day before they said to call in morning with IHG number. I did they said no early checkin. Was still early so camped out at 2pm. They said still 3pm checkin. Still was not ready at 3pm. The room was run down, the noise travelled all night from the hallway and slamming doors, and the breakfast pancakes didnt work and coffee machine was not ideal. I would not stay again and totally disappointed by service and breakfast.

My single king size room was fit for a king! Much larger than expected. As a senior, I would have liked to have had a hand rail on the main wall of the shower and a slightly rougher surface to stand on. My sense of balance is not always good. Just a suggestion.

It was convenient to get to the university There was never any staff at the front desk.. only a sign that said they will be back shortly? But they were never there The breakfast was only cold pastries and cereal and yogurt. No hot food or pancakes as advertised In the gym, the treadmill was not working and it was very unkept We had a room for 3 booked and an insufficient amount of towels in the room The bedding for the pull out was very wrinkled and didn’t look clean

Neighboring rooms were smoking cigarettes and marijuana. The smoke came directly into my room. I think this hotel was a non smoking hotel.

Oven was broken so hot breakfast items limited, making it difficult for us as we eat a high protein diet. No microwave for instant oatmeal. Breakfast area very cramped with little space to sit. Treadmill was broken. Fitness room difficult to access and you have to enter pool area to access it which makes it difficult to enter even though it’s supposed to be available 24/7. Our bathroom toilet was unflushed upon entry into room.
