Location. Place is a little dated. I have stayed there 3 times over past 20 years. It appears to diminish in quality each time.

Location, beds were comfortable, parking. Room we were given by the unfriendly receptionist wasn’t ready, pillow cases left on the beds, door propped open by chair, no clean towels left. Why do you allocate rooms before the clearly overstretched staff are finished?! Rooms are very tired, carpets and curtains grubby and long overdue refurbishment. Hall carpets are stained, dusty and clearly not hoovered very often, there were shells of some description outside our door. Overpowering smell of awful air freshener everywhere!

While this property is excellent it is the staff that makes it outstanding. I spent a the third weekend of September here for a classic British car show on the street in front of the hotel. The front desk staff, the bartender, the breakfast crew and the housekeeping staff were friendly as well as professional. I look forward to returning next year.

I didn't have a trashcan. I booked the room for one adult and two children, and there were enough towels for two people. The floor had two sink holes in it. The worse one was between the bed and the unit!!
