St Charles Coach House, an Ascend Collection Hotel

The location was great and felt secure for our family of 4. The St Charles streetcar runs right in front of the hotel which is a plus. Also, there was complimentary onsite parking which is hard to find in New Orleans. We stayed there twice-on the way to and from Florida-and both times the rooms were clean and well-kept. We would not hesitate to stay here on our next trip to New Orleans. The only negative (which was no fault of the hotel) was the construction happening next door. On our 2nd stay our room faced the construction and we heard them start working a little before 6am… yikes!

Delightful and charming.

This hotel was perfect. Perfect location, right across from the trolley stop. Just a short ride to all the happening spots in New Orleans. The room was comfortable and cozy and had sweet little nostalgic touches in the room. There was a mini fridge, a room safe, and down the hall was an ice machine, microwave, and water filling station. And they offer on site parking with your stay, I have told everyone I know about this place and when we are back in New Orleans I will definitely stay there again,

Hotel was nice, loved the parking. The only down fall was the construction next door at 6am

Check-in was quick and smooth. Card keys and parking pass were waiting for us along with WiFi password. Elevator, hallway & room were very clean and fresh smelling. Towels & wash cloths were big and nice quality. Shower had body wash, shampoo and conditioner. AC was great for 100+ temp outside. Trolley was easy to catch to downtown for dinner & shopping. Nice restaurants in walking distance. Coffee in lobby was delicious. Staff had good recommendations for dinner.

The hotel is in a great historic location with free parking which is why I stayed here for an overnight stay before going on a cruise. The reason for the 4 rating is I think the hotel is very nice has a lot of potential but it really needs a deep deep cleaning. I could see crude in the corner of the bathroom floor and shower. Whom ever is cleaning the bathrooms is not doing a very good job. Our room was very spacious and nice but it didn't feel very clean. The owner needs to really put some time and money into deep cleaning the lobby and outside of the hotel. I will give them some grace for the outside because there was construction next to the hotel.

The room was not cleaned well. There was debris in the floor, stained bedding and oddly, lots of packing tape rolled up and stuck on the ceiling. The room also had a wall of floor to ceiling windows and an exterior door that opened to a shared balcony, so you couldnt have the dirty curtains open and have any privacy.

We had a wonderful stay! Hotel is in a desirable location, not far from French quarter, museums and aquarium. It’s nestled in a quiet area, with beautiful historic homes nearby. Room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Staff was attentive, helpful and had everything ready- key, parking pass, upon arrival. We will happily book again during our next visit. Highly recommend!

We had a great stay. Huge bonus that the parking garage was adjacent to the hotel and INCLUDED. Staff was very responsive and friendly. Hotel was clean and inviting. You are right on the St Charles street car line so definitely invest in the jazzy pass for getting around town! Would have said 5 stars but some amenities we would have liked to see - in room microwave (you have to share one microwave for the whole floor), the closets were too shallow to hold our hanging clothes, and only one tiny trash can in the bathroom for trash.

We booked the hotel because it said excellent but to be honest the hotel is ok but not an excellent level. It’s close the main things to see in New Orleans but the rate level is incorrect. With that rate the Expedia creates a big expectations.

Room was very clean, free parking was great.

I loved the area this hotel is located. Just on the edge of the garden district and business district, it offers free parking and a trolly stop out front. We paid 3$ for the LePass and rode the trolley just a few blocks of Jackson square and the other side to the Audubon Park and garden district. The room was decorated with art work of the city, and was clean and spacious. We enjoyed our stay in NOLA!

Remnant snack crumbs still present in room. Weird droning sound made me sleep on the couch with earplugs. Other than these items, this place is great. Parking is safe and INCLUDED! Huge win. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Room and decor outstanding. The elevator wallpaper made me giggle every time.

Ms.Erica was so informative, made me feel right at home! Beautiful interior , clean rooms , lots of photo ops on site.

I will absolutely stay here every time I visit New Orleans. The staff was friendly, kind and helpful. The convenience of the streetcar and hotel parking.

My stay at this property was very rewarding from the location to beauty of the hotel and friendliness of the staff.

This was a last minute same day booking; however. I must say, I was very impressed. The staff was nice, polite, professional and very helpful. The decor was very nice and the place was extremely clean. I'm glad I choose this location and this place of business. They only thing I regret was not taking pictures.
