Hampton Inn Niles

The moment we walked onto the third floor there was a smell, that was worse when we entered our room. Think dirty socks smell. Our keys constantly stopped working for no reason. We told front desk about the smell and keys and exhaust fan in bathroom not working, we were told maint. Would be up next day to fix door and exhaust. No one showed up. The AC units apparently were all cleaned however we found mold in ours. After switching room and being told manager would be notified, my youngest child (not even 2) developed a fever. We checked out early, and when asked about a refund I was told I could get 1,000 points (equivalent to $5.50). I said no I want the GM to call me. There has yet to be a call. I have stayed at Hampton before and never had these issues and I 100% am putting blame on them for my youngest becoming sick. What was supposed to be a family trip got cut short and was nothing but problems..

The King Bed room was spacious enough, had refrigerator and microwave, the bathroom was spacious. I liked the toilet behind the wall facing the shower, not facing the door. The staff was friendly and helpful, the facilities were clean, the breakfast was pretty good. Very good accommodations for the price. My only complaints was the faucet in bathroom sink was in the corner and not enough room to get your hands under to wash them easily, and when you tried water got on the counter. Also the bed was a little firm for my liking, but better than too soft and lumpy.

Clean. Easy to get to. Enough parking. I have no complaints.

The person at service desk was pretty inattentive and kept a group of us waiting before coming out of the back. Then she was pretty disinterested in the welcoming of guests. See previous item. Plus, there was peeling wallpaper in bathroom and a damaged area on bathroom door that was about half repaired.

All good except the woman at the front desk when we were leaving. She refused to even acknowledge us. She just glared. Strange.

Looking for a place to stay this is the place. Clean all around and the staff was friendly. Price is good. Breakfast was great.

Everything Elevator was grimey

The staff is consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful. One thing we especially appreciate is the complimentary breakfast. It’s always well-stocked, and there’s always an attendant making sure everything stays clean, replenishing the food, greeting guests with a smile, and checking to make sure everyone has what they need. Those little interactions really make you feel welcome. It’s the consistent quality and excellent customer service that keep us coming back year after year. We highly recommend this hotel and look forward to staying here again on our next Michigan trip!

Pool could be warmer, it’s always cold, I think it states heated pool but if not all good, everything else is great. Love the breakfast options, always clean, friendly staff. We always use this hotel when visiting.

It was a decent stay. Just make sure you restock the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. It was a little low.
