Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Niles by IHG

I loved the hotel and the location. It was clean, staff was friendly and breakfast was fantastic.

Cheap commode lid, broke.

This was my first time staying at this particular holiday Inn express. I was in town to visit family for a weeklong reunion. I’ve stated other Holiday Inn express locations and it had a pleasant experience, but this one missed the mark on several items. Firstly, for a three floor hotel it only had two ice machines and you would think with me staying for a week. They might put me on a floor with one of the ice machines, but that was not to be the case so multiple times a day every day, I had to walk all the way down the hall take the one elevator down the floor, walk back down the hall to the ice machine come back to the elevator up to the second floor and back down the hallway. Because if they’re only been one elevator and multiple people waiting for the elevator, this was typically always a 3 to 5 minute trip just for ice. Secondly, I don’t know when soap bars went out of existence, but apparently they do in Niles. That’s fine if you expect everyone to use a Phil me body wash, but if that’s the case, then you need to supply a loofah or some better way to apply the body wash. Every shower that should’ve been five minutes, ends up taking 15. Not to mention the shower doors that kept opening while in the shower and closing on me while trying to get out of the shower. There must also be a shortage on towels in the town because every day I was given just enough towels to wash my hands once and take one shower. I

I know everyone wants to be environmentally, friendly, and use low flow showerheads, but it doesn’t save a lot of water when it takes me twice as long to get clean in the morning. Please consider putting in showerheads that have a little more power

The staff was very friendly. We came to breakfast shortly before it closed and the attendant wanted to make sure we were able to have whatever had been available, even if it meant she would need to make more. The staff works very hard to make this a great place to stay!

They cancelled my reservation because I wasn’t checked in at 5pm and resold my room. Travelled 2 hours, and was left without a hotel room since literally all rooms at every single hotel were booked.

I have stayed at this particular Holiday Inn several times now and it has always been an absolutely terrific experience every time. The hotel is kept clean and tidy, the rooms are great and the staff is always very friendly and accommodating.
