Avista Resort

​We stayed in a suite that was incredibly spacious, spotlessly clean, modern, and very comfortable. The staff here truly deserves a shout-out; every team member we encountered was genuinely nice, accommodating, and eager to help. The entire Avista team goes above and beyond to make guests feel welcome. ​Additionally, the amenities are top-notch. Whether you want to relax by the pools or just enjoy the beautiful oceanfront views, there is truly something for everyone. The layout of the resort is fantastic, making beach access quick and easy. We had an amazing experience and highly recommend Avista Resort to any families looking for a clean, comfortable, and friendly place to stay. We will definitely be back!

The property is amazing however front desk staff were not very friendly check in and check out.

We have found a new favorite place to stay in North Myrtle Beach. Hotel room provided included clean and well stocked accommodations for our stay. Access to pools and beach as well as safety with parking were top-notch as well. Very family oriented, and loved the activities provided by the hotel for both children and adults. We will definitely be staying there again in the near future while visiting North Myrtle.

Great view. Clean unit. Hit or miss service. Terrible water pressure. Old and somewhat unclean pools. A lot of unruly, unsupervised children. Posters for rules that went unenforced. At check-in staff didn’t inform of any discounts. Elevator floors wet from pool use. Unfriendly restaurant staff when asking for the optional room service. Clean towels daily and garbage cleaned daily. This is a hotel mostly for families. Would have been a more enjoyable experience if the pools were maintained better. Beach access was close.

Family friendly! Family had an amazing time.

We loved that they had a DJ down by the outdoor pool and that they had activities for the kids with the DJ. We liked the outdoor bars that you could charge to your room. Everyone was very hospitable. We will definitely be back.

Great staff.

Clean rooms with open floor plan with plenty of amenities like you were at home. Id recommend it and would stay here again, also it's a bonus how it's setup to have all available rooms ocean view with balcony.

As a frequent hotel user, I took a lot of peoples opinion and decided to book with Avista. Upon arriving, the parking garage did not fit our suburban very well and on our last day staying, we found out that we could get a permit to park in the designated spot for oversized vehicles, the staff was reluctant to give us a permit due to an altercation between other hotel guests. Speaking for the inside of the hotel was sub par. The sheets on the bed were very stiff and itchy. The elevators were sketchy and one was even stuck with people in it. The walls were all scratched up and there was an old rusty fan blowing in the corner of the elevator room. Not very classy or desirable. The hallways of our floor smelled very strongly of marijuana. It was distasteful and For a “resort” the best part of it were the outdoor pool. Which should be all the other amenities that were offered. The whole “resort” if you want to call it that, needs upgrading. On another note our sliding glass door was stuck and it was very hard to open and shut. We will Not recommend this “resort” to anyone and I will by far refer to it as a hotel, not a resort.

Overall it was ok. It was clean but dated with uncomfortable beds. Furniture was not comfortable and cheaply made. Ocean front is good but the Saturday DJ was irritating. Music is a great thing but it needs to be more laid back. Just my opinion. Price is too high for the level of amenity.

Great location, great staff property is outdated. Rooms need to be renovated and remodel.

Overall, our stay was decent parking in the parking garage is a huge pain and our TV in our living room had a mind of its own. The indoor pools have some kind of white deposits along the outer edges, that are kind of gross. I’ll be picking another resort if vacationing in North Myrtle Beach.

We did have a 2 hour delay getting into our room initially, due to a communication error from the front desk. This was disappointing and frustrating. The biggest inconvenience for us was the parking garage being across the street and extremely tight for average sized vehicles. It would be helpful if there was a covered crosswalk over the road to go directly into the resort. Overall, we had a very good week. Great resort for wholesome fun in North Myrtle Beach.

Room was clean Excellent. Staff was always helpful. Great beach view.

Travelers need to be prepared for how crowded pool and beach areas will actually be. Interior Restaurant and bar have not received the best comments above average. Outdoor bar was used and was very good. Property is older but maintenance staff seems to be on top of any issues identified.

Staff very friendly and our room was clean the staff in the restaurant was super friendly loved the music and the disc jockey they had on Thursday !

We have stayed at this property before and will again durjng any futur trips to this area. The staff is very helpful. On this particular trip, we arrived well before check-in. They checked us in so we could begin using the amenities right away and stored our luggage so we could park the car in the garage. Our luggage was sent to the room when it became available. The room itself and bathroom were clean and well maintained. The kitchen was well equipped and the dishwasher made things easy. Overall a good experience for my family.

The parking was not good at all. Had to park across the street because all handicapped spots were full. Very tight parking and not enough room. Damaged my car trying to avoid hitting another vehicle coming up ramp.
