Sheraton Chicago Northbrook Hotel

Clean rooms, modern and quiet area.

We had two rooms. Room one had an armoire smelled like an old basement so we didn’t use it. The pillows aren’t ideal if you have neck or back problems because they had no support. Room two had brown goo dripping from the back of the “clean” toilet. The chair in the corner of the room had something spilled on the one side of the cushion and had been flipped to the other side. On a positive note, staff were friendly and location was good for the price. It’s a nice reprieve from the hustle and bustle of downtown. Oh, and the McDonald’s ten to fifteen minutes down the street, was literally the best we’ve ever had.

Bartender awesome as usual! We have stayed here every time we travel to Chicago.

It was good for the cost.

Staff is always fabulous, check in was a breeze and pleasant. We stopped by the bar at the end of the night, great little spot. Amber was behind the bar and was quite knowledgeable about drinks we requested. They were very good, so we stayed for another. She was terrific, can't say enough about her.

It was located in a quiet place, and parking was manageable I was disappointed by the lack of basic amenities in the room—amenities that are available even in many mid-tier hotels: 1. No mini fridge 2. No microwave 3. Significant gap under the room door, which allowed a lot of light into the room and made it difficult for my wife and me to sleep. 4. Poor-quality window blinds that did not close completely, allowing light to enter from both sides. This made it difficult to sleep in, which was especially disappointing since we were on vacation. 5. No complimentary breakfast, despite the relatively high price of the hotel. What makes these issues particularly disappointing is the high cost of the stay. The overall experience did not reflect the level of quality and service I have come to expect from Sheraton hotels, including those we have stayed at across several continents. I hope these concerns will be taken seriously and addressed, as this experience fell well below our expectations.

Great stay!

Very good

We were disappointed with a few things. The pool was FREEZING, they were out of coffee in the lobby by ten, and there were fruit flies everywhere. We had to have them come repair our bathroom door as it wouldn’t close. And we had to ask for a mini fridge as you don’t automatically get one. Most staff was amazing, one manager was a bit rude. Loved the included shampoo/soap in the rooms. One nice touch in the lobby was ice cold water with fruit or cucumber in it. Very refreshing.

Started out with a game where we won a free drink! Loved room. Quiet.

They were at full capacity so the front desk seemed a little stressed out but I got upgraded to club and had free breakfast which was good. The room was nice.

Breakfast was fine and the pool serviceable. Huge wet leakage on our carpet from an AC unit. A noisy fan was sent up to our room but the staff did nothing further to address the issue.

We’ve stayed here before, it’s really clean beds are good and everything has always been consistent!
