Carleton of Oak Park

This is a hidden gem .Excellent location within minutes of walking to metro station .Clean room , friendly staff. With two restaurants onsite and plenty of parking . If we ever go back to Chicago we will stay there again .

Historic property with attached restaurants Older plumbing fixtures that’s worked…but not super well

This was a perfect stay! Only a block away from the subway station (easy transport into the city), 25-30 min drive to the airport, and a wonderful neighborhood… my husband and I will definitely be staying at this hotel again!

Can I just say the front desk was amazing jessie I believe Her name was Jessie… I stayed previously decided to stay again because of her hospitality, great area also! Everything you need and want walking distance away!

Horrible management. I have been coming here over 30 years and this time was outrageously poor on every level. AVOID!

We stayed for 3 days, and day 2 somebody came to clean ONLY specific things I had mentioned. We weren't offered a different room, or even contacted my management at all.

Stayed in one of the motel-style rooms. Convenient and clean (except for dirty microwave turntable) place to stay in Oak Park. Included parking definitely a plus.

Good location. Excellent price and close to Oak Park downtown.

Clean and comfortable room. Very helpful when we arrived early and let us drop our bags and run. We arrived back to the hotel around midnight to check in. Attendant seemed to be ‘off’…maybe sick or on drugs.

Clean, helpful staff and excellent location!! Loved being able to walk around Oak Park. Also, it was nice to have two restaurant options in the hotel even though neither was open for breakfast! Our son and family live 5 minutes away so it was very convenient. We will definitely stay there again!!

We were only there one night, it was a good stay in the heart of Oak Park. It is an older building so there are some older features (ie.AC unit) but it was clean and comfortable. Parking is in various lots nearby- had to “look” for the Lobby/check in down the block.

Very unique property, fascinated by the history of the building.

It was well located for visiting the Frank Lloyd Wright Museum & Studio, very close to the Green Line Harlem station. There was a good choice of cuisine offered by nearby restaurants & cafes. There was no breakfast offered by the hotel. Otherwise it was great!

Cool bar and restaurant.

Clean spacious room in the motel annex area. Good for 2 nights. Close to the metro and lots of shops, cafes, and Frank Lloyd Wright buildings nearby. Older decor but nothing really to complain about.

The decor was consistent between the old and new sections.

Beautiful and spacious hotel. Very nearby restaurants and shopping.

The room was very clean, but despite there being a note in the room that it would be serviced every day, it was not. We were fine with the beds not being made, but the coffee supplies were not replenished, so we had to stop at the desk and request.
