We were well informed about the facility and it was secured. Our car was behind locked gates and off street parking. The owner provided us with bottles of water so we didnt have to go out for anything. We arrived late. The room was very comfortable and very clean. It was perfect for a quick overnite stay before boarding our cruise ship the next day. Only thing is the bed is quite low to the floor.

Drug use in area. Had to exit car and stand outside to call from cell phone to register at night. Should have had call button at gate.

The rooms look nothing like the pictures online. The floors and furniture were extremely scratched up and dirty and so were the dressers. The bed was super small and not very comfortable at all. There was some weird smell and weird loud noises all night. Also was told there would be a hold for $100 but they actually charged my card and I had to dispute it with my bank. The only good thing is the price but not worth it, would rather just pay more and stay somewhere nicer. I will never be staying at this motel again.

Motel in Oakland/Berkeley has suitably secure, gated property so vehicles and rooms are walled off from the unsafe inner-city environment along Broadway.

Met my needs: very affordable lodging near the Pill Hill neighborhood of Oakland, with secure parking. Not fancy, but it was quiet, secure, good A/C, coffee maker. And mini fridge. The bathroom had recently been updated. Good restaurants a block away. If you are okay with urban, mixed class neighborhoods, this is a pragmatic choice.
