Hawthorn Extended Stay by Wyndham Odessa

We initially thought this would be a great place to stay. The room was very spacious and we were going to be bringing a newborn back that we were adopting. Everything was comfortable(ish) except for the sticky floors in the room and waking up to see a bed bug crawling in our bed. We aren’t overly picky people but obviously this was disgusting and we bolted from our room. I’m not sure why this hotel has such great reviews about cleanliness, i guess it’s because majority of the guests are oil field workers there to work. Thankfully we were refunded for our stay. Proceed with caution.

The hotel was also very convenient to where we needed to be and was easy to get in and out of.

The room was comfortable and spacious with the mini kitchen well equipped and nice toiletries as well lighting and sitting area, however, the pool was not usable awaiting repairs oflocks and inspection, the restaurant and bar was closed after a fire and all were still listed as working amenities. Had we known we likely would not have booked there. The breakfast was standard free cooked breakfast and was fair.

This hotel double charged me for my stay . They said they would drop the authorization for the second charge on the second day and they didn’t. It’s been 6 days and I have yet to get paid my money back, had to report it as fraud to my bank . The hotel says it has top golf and a restaurant . Not true it’s been closed down for months . The pool was closed down by health department . The staff was very nice and polite. Good breakfast . The room was nice had little kitchenette, however when you walked in you got an aweful cigarette like smell but it’s non smoking.

Enjoyed my stay and loved my room it had everything I needed.

Was good could use better variety on breakfast

Eggs and potatoes swam in condensation water and the coffee out of the machine tasted horrible and I forgot a dress in the closet which housekeeping never turned in and the manager never called me back about it. Definitely enough to not stay there again.

Staff very pleasant, full breakfast was great, room layout was perfect with built in desk and kitchenette, only issue was garbage disposal which we didn't use. Beds extremely comfortable! Large screen TV!

We were staying there while our child was in the hospital. Having the nice, clean rooms to take a break in were awesome. Being able to wash some clothes there so so helpful. Would definitely be our first choice of places to stay if needed again. The hotel was excellent!!!

Everything was really good just the rooms were a little dusty in the kitchen area and floors but other than that amazing staff

Beds were comfortable, room was clean, bathroom cleanliness was okay. Free laundry mat was a nice perk. Location felt safe.

I arrived late in night (2:15 am) and although I had called ahead to tell them and they said no problem, no one was at the desk. I did not get into my room until 3 am.

The room was clean and smelled nice. The staff was friendly with each interaction over our week long stay. Bonus for the complimentary on site guest laundry facility, it was a saving grace at the end of our week to not have to come home and do laundry as soon as we unpacked
