Quality Inn Odessa near University

I got there around 8pm to check in and no one was at the check in counter. I yelled “HELLO” several times to no answer. I had to use the bathroom really bad after driving for several hours and noticed there was one in the lobby so I went to use it…When I came out the bathroom and went back to the counter, there still was no one there…Again I yelled “HELLO” and a guy came from a room behind the counter. I checked in, got my key and went to my room. Upon parking there were people on the balcony right next to my room kissing like teenagers (they were adults) then when they noticed me they started smoking. First impression is every thing. I had to get back on the road at 3:30AM and when I went to check out the door was locked so I had to call to check out later on in the day. The room was decent but I would NEVER stay there again as it just wasn’t a pleasant experience.

We are temporarily moving from our home in North Carolina to Odessa Texas and we thought we'd need just 1 night stay my husband is a truck driver. After over a 26 hour drive on the day we were to check out we were just way too exhausted to, and they accommodated us with no problems for an extra night. We have a no carpet (no smells) pet friendly room that is exceptionally clean, with the maid service keeping us up with clean towels, etc. The Continental breakfast was really good and the area was neat and tidy. Everyone at the front desk was extremely polite, courteous and helpful to our needs. I would've enjoyed our stay even more if there were still a pool here!... and if there was a doggie patch of grass for them to potty. I had to walk them the length of the entire parking lot and cross over the busy 2 lane road that is parallel to I-20 just to "do your business". And while the laundry room has upgraded nice, clean machines, 2 out of the 3 washers were OUT OF ORDER.

Room appears clean, at first. Room is updated but doesn’t matter considering the amount of cockroaches in the room. They were in the bathroom, the trashcan and at 3:00 in the morning in the bed. At that point I had enough. I cannot recommend

The staff was very nice..The cleaning ladies were very courteous and very very professional and very helpful The only bad thing is the diesel trucks from the guests that work in the area..should not be allowed to back up to park facing the building..they run their trucks for a long time to cool them off..and the fumes run in the guest rooms by the air conditioning units..that was not pleasant..we were getting the fumes every morning..they should put signs up..no diesel running trucks allowed to park by building..where guests rooms are

Cost and cleanliness were great. I didn't eat breakfast, but the rest of my guys did and said it was good. All was good.
