Clean. Friendly. Walking distance to food and entertainment. Just park and go. Great shower water pressure.

I loved everything about the stay
-
I came here because they had a nice hot tub by the pool. Now it is gone. They removed the hot tub.
-
Great experience! 3 min walk from train station.
-
I would avoid making purchases at their lobby store, there is no advertised price list and the items are charged at stadium prices, not value for money when there are other hotels near by.
-
Kenya was amazing at check in. Make sure to get breakfast coupon because it is not worth the $26 you would pay.
-
TV, didn’t work , but for one day the place was great!!
-
if you wanted to have a beer or drink, you had to buy it from their bar; you couldn't sit in the lobby or any other public area in the hotel even when the bar was closed, which it did at 9 PM & didn't open until 5 PM, bad business for having a conference.

The next day when I was handing my keys to a valet at the desk he looked intoxicated and asked “is that a joint?” And I said no its my keys. He then asked if i smoke weed. Not the person i want to hand my keys to.

Nice staff, peaceful. The location is good for an overnight, but if I were staying more than one night, I would likely choose another part of town, downtown isn't all that fun. The room is outdated and needed some basic maintenance for appearance - peeling wallpaper, stained chaise, cracked and yellow bathtub caulking - but it was ok for a one night stay for the price.

I had read all of the negative reviews AFTER booking the trip, so I was extremely apprehensive about staying there given what I had read about air conditioning going out in the middle of the night and broken power outlets. But when I got there, everything seemed to work fine. Room looked a little run down, but nothing abhorrent. Carpet was sticky in places and the TV looked about 20 years old, but nothing that made me want to pack up and leave. The location was perfectly set in downtown, and with a price I don’t think you could beat. It basically felt like a discount Embassy Suites, at a discount price. We would consider staying there again. Also… we parked around the corner after reading about how awful the valet parking system was. Overall it was an acceptable hotel at that price point

Was a great room, on top floor
-
Property was in disrepair. Peeling paint and ceiling. Parts of the trim missing. AC didn’t work well. Had a very funky smell.
-
Staff very helpful in suggesting places to visit nearby. Clean safe environment

Overall it was okay. The young man that checked us in was rude. The carpet was a stained. I had to go up 5 floors to find an ice machine that worked and there was no hot tub even though there were signs saying it was there. Even so it was okay for just a one night stay in town for business purposes.

I enjoyed my time at the Grand. The desk help were not the friendliest or at all knowledgeable of their responsibilities. I was disappointed that such a highly priced and regarded establishment would such underwhelming representation on staff. Accommodations were above average and the staff well below.
