The room was okay. Our dogs stayed with us. The bed was comfortable. The place could use a very thorough cleaning, including a deodorizer. The halls in the hotel smelled good but our room smelled like feet. The carpet seemed pretty dirty. The location was nice as it was on campus of U of Maine, Bangor. It was fun to walk around checking things out. They had a great little cafe but charged for a coffee and muffins. Setting was good. Room was nothing to write home about.

This hidden gem is truly extraordinary! Located on the beautiful and peaceful University of Maine campus, it’s the perfect place to relax. The grounds and buildings are absolutely stunning, and my teenage daughters loved exploring the campus and taking photos. The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. Our room was spotless, cozy, and had everything we needed. The beds and pillows were exceptionally comfortable, giving us all a wonderful night’s sleep. We especially appreciated the blackout blinds and the air conditioning, which kept the room cool despite the 30°C+ temperatures outside. The buildings are beautifully decorated with charming Maine-inspired details, especially the bear-themed décor. It made us feel right at home—even coming from Canada! It’s just a short drive to Bangor, and the lovely town of Orono offers great restaurants, gas stations, and charming little shops. We absolutely loved its cozy, small-town atmosphere. If you’re wondering where to stay in the Bangor area, look no further. This is the place! Don’t miss the opportunity to experience this wonderful hidden gem!

Excellent stay
-
I hated the basement room in the old bldg with a view of a sidewalk and the window was full of cobwebs

Like it so much, going to go back in three weeks

The room was great. It was clean and very spacious. Checking in was not ideal. Other hotels will allow guests to check in and then store their luggage until the room is ready. This hotel does not offer that convenience. They said the cafe and study would be available spaces where guests waiting to check in could work, but the cafe was actually closed.
-
Spotless clean and comfortable hotel right on the beautiful UMaine campus. Polite and helpful staff, Good cafe in the main hotel building, and it's an easy walk or drive into downtown Orono for some good restaurants.

The room was so very nice. Included fridge & micro. It was close to Amphitheater so that was convenient. Using a building from USM was very unique.

I have stayed in a lot of hotels in the Bangor, Brewer, and Orono area. This has to be one of the top places I’ve ever stayed. Five stars on everything you can think of. I could not be happier. Added bonus feature campus security watches over the area as well, providing more safety for your vehicle.

We rented a room with two queen beds and when we arrive theygave me a room with a King bed and a bedcouch it was terrible the mattresd had 4 inches thick and was very uncomfortable they didn t try to fix nothing for us

We had a fantastic stay and the location could not be better. We walked to several bars and food venues, and the rooms were small but well appointed. We will definitely be back.

I was attending a concert in Bangor and this was the BEST place to stay. It was a quick drive to the venue from the hotel. The campus is GORGEOUS and the staff was extremely helpful. I loved the little college touches to the decor and rooms. Highly recommend the stay.

All good.

The front desk staff was kind & the room was modern, very clean, and spacious. It’s just a little out of the way if you’re going to a concert in Bangor, but it was kind of nice to escape the bustle after the show by getting further away.
