Casa Loma Inn

It is an old building—which is understandable—but the stay was uncomfortable; there is no elevator, and the balcony door wouldn't close properly a cockroach even got in during the night from the balcony, the door finally shut in the last night but the next morning we couldn't open it at all; we struggled so much that we eventually gave up and headed to the airport. I wanted to have a coffee on the balcony overlooking the gulf one last time, but it wasn't possible. The service was good, There is a small and very functional kitchen, though the cabinets from the kitchen needs better cleaning including the stove, the phone didn't work, and the TV was broken (though they did replace it with a new one). There is a gas station across from the hotel, but a lack of restaurant options. The view of the Gulf of Mexico is lovely, but it rained heavily during our trip, so unfortunately it wasn't a pleasant vacation; my advice is to check the weather forecast before booking a package. That balcony door was a real headache, haha. The staff were very pleasant and ready to help; I had to pay to have my luggage carried up, which is understandable given the lack of an elevator. If you’re a laid-back person, this place is great for you; the pool was very clean , to rent the umbrella and 2 chair is $40 and the boy was very friendly and professional and Uber is a good option if you don’t rent a car.

The hotel is older but is very nice and conveniently located. The walk to the beach is super short which is AMAZING. The staff are super friendly and very helpful. We would stay here again. We stayed 4 nights and 5 days with children. I would recommend this to anyone.

For the bathroom in the lobby, when I wanted to use it, it was closed, and there were no other bathrooms at the property. No beach towels were available. I asked for extra towels for my room and they said "they don't do that here." There weren't employees by the pool to clean the mess made by other people.. There weren't any beach chairs as well, unless you rented some for like $40/day

Beach access was convenient and AC worked great. Although our stay was short I don’t think I would’ve been pleased staying any longer. The room was small and was humid upon opening the balcony door. Balcony rails are a little hazardous if you have little ones since they are wider than usual and the WiFi never worked for us to watch tv.

Nice view and great staff

I had high expectations based on the 4.8 star rating. We were extremely let down before even arriving to our room. No elevator. Dog droppings in the walkway to our room. The room was somehow updated, yet also out of date. New vanity, drawers, and bed frames, but the lights on the bed didn’t work, the beds were worn down, and the sink was slow to drain. Floors could’ve been cleaner. The bathroom was probably the biggest issue. The caulking needs redone which would really improve the appearance and feeling of cleanliness. Luckily, we only had to stay for one night, but it definitely wasn’t worth the money.

Over all had an enjoyable time. The only problem we had was the Internet was extremely weak so the television wouldn't work. We had to connect our hotspot from our phone to watch tv

Room and bathroom was smaller than expected but it was great place to stay for a good price and great view.

Definitely a older hotel that could use a remodel, but rooms were clean. Pool was nice and kept clean. My only complaint was no elevator and having to carry all my luggage and things up 4 flights of stairs. I wished I had checked for that prior to booking. Other than that, no complaints. Staff was friendly.

The room and beds were clean, which set a good first impression. Unfortunately, a few maintenance issues made the stay disappointing. The blinds wouldn’t open correctly, the shower drained so slowly that water pooled around my feet, and the TV had visible lines across the screen. While I understand most people come for the beach, the price suggests a higher standard of upkeep. With a few fixes, this could be a much better stay.

Summary: Casa Loma is an overpriced, wore out hotel. We would have kept traveling if refund was available. Thankfully, we only reserved one night.

Location was great however the place needs a major remodel! That was not expected because of the price per night and the star rating. The stairs and walkways are a hazard. They are uneven. The room air conditioner was extremely loud. The old light fixtures flickered and the water pressure fluctuated.

The view was great, and the pool was nice just very unsatisfied with the room.

The group was frequently loud, disruptive, and inconsiderate of other guests. We also observed alcohol consumption in the pool area, as well as behavior and items that were not appropriate for a family-friendly environment. As a result, the atmosphere felt more like a party venue than a hotel intended for guests of all ages. Traveling with my 8-year-old son, we were unable to comfortably enjoy the pool or many of the hotel's amenities. While the property itself was satisfactory, the lack of management intervention to address the situation detracted considerably from our overall experience.

Because we was told we couldn’t get new sheets for our bed … our WiFi system was horrible… and the picture was nothing like they advertised.. the bed hard. And wanted charge 300 and something for extra night.. very unhappy
