ROACHES! Lack of Hot Tub / Spa Beds

Old but clean. The only thing I didn't like was that the chairs you rent have all the good places on the beach.

Clean rooms

We enjoyed our time at Sugar Sands. Staff was friendly and helpful. Grounds we clean, suite was clean. We have stayed at Sugar Sands at least once a year over the past 15 years. Love this property. Best beach in PCB

Got there at 1:00 and had to wait 3 hours until 4:00 to check in.

Room looked nothing like the pictures… very poorly maintained and not clean at all. Bed fitted sheet wasn’t correct size and kept coming off. Ceiling tiles was stained and mismatched. Under the air conditioning was a loose receptacle box. Bathtub was very dirty and stained. Staff was great and helpful. Really need to step up the house cleaning and maintenance.

Room was fairly clean. Place has really gotten run down over the years. Used to stay in the late 90's and it was a super nice place to stay. I think since its owned now by a multi property company they dont take care of it as well as when it was privately owned. Probably won't stay here anymore for that reason.

I liked how close the hotel was to the beach. I did not like that there was a raccoon and her babies living under the walking area and was being fed by some guest any hour of the day. I was uncomfortable going to and from the beach. I did not like that there was a crack in the bathtub that was leaking to the room below me, where my daughter and her family were. We both had to relocate to other rooms. They were there since Sunday and had to move to another room on Tuesday. I checked in on Tuesday and had to move to another room on Wednesday. There were no compensations for the inconvenience of moving from one room to another room. The hotel needs a major renovation.

We drove 7 hours for a weekend vacation only to find that our reservation had been canceled and they had no room for us. I received an email at 2am on the morning of check-in, requesting updated payment information. I updated the payment information, and received confirmation that the updated information was accepted. But we arrived and found the reservation canceled. No notification, no apology for the massive inconvenience... Just a "Well, your reservation was canceled and there's no room here." Awful. 0 out of 10.

The properties location was a big decision in our stay. The beach area wasn't crowded. The traffic was light making it easy to get in and out of the parking area. The staff was really friendly and helpful with anything that we needed. This is our favorite place to stay in PCB.

Good location, the kitchenette was a good size for making small meals, clean bathroom and spacious room. Although there is overflow parking across the street, the parking lot is tiny

A bigger pool but it was great thanks for the great time with the lights on the pool
