Litchfield Beach & Golf Resort

The resort was absolutely beautiful and landscaping was nice throughout & between each of the resort buildings/villas. Our condo unit was clean, however there was a bit of rushed linen set up bc our sheets were only halfway on the mattresses & inside out. However, the Front desk staff was lovely & helpful. Easy access to the beach was a great perk. Also, we did appreciate the Starbucks in the front lobby, very convenient! Overall, site experience was great. Would definitely come back to this property again.

Communication is key in any situation. From the time we drove up to the gate at Litchfield we were met by a less than helpful guard who never confirmed we were at the right place and simply directed us elsewhere. Never telling us where she was sending us to. The clerk at the desk was rushed and appeared more interested in his co-worker than giving us clear instructions. He informed us that there was a staff member available at a given number for any questions or problems but this proved not to be true as the phone simply rang and rang. The website indicates there are beach chair/umbrella rentals available. This is not true and the company that does rent them was booked over a month ahead of our trip. The security guard at the pool was less trained than any of the others and knew nothing about the property or building. There are probably at least 12 huge buildings and I'm sure difficult to manage but staff training would go a long way or informing guests. It was very obvious the pool wrist bands were not being enforced as we watched families with many small children walk over from the adjacent building to use the pool dedicated to our building. From the map I could see that their pool facilities weren't quite as good so they went for it. The views were awesome and atmosphere was clean although dated. I would consider this again simply because I am now "informed". Bottom line - do your homework.

Needs updating and biggest concern would be the air conditioning. Unit was so loud and constant on and off.

Will stay here again! We had everything we needed to enjoy our stay.

We chose Litchfield BEACH and Golf Resort for the beach, when we checked in we were told that there is no beach access for us, and we were staying 5 miles down the road. If we wanted to go to the beach, we could drive 2 miles from the resort and access at the public beach. When I contacted the front desk for a further explanation, I was told since I booked with a 3rd party that they couldn't help me. It clearly states in the description that there is beach access included with our room and that Litchfield lied in how they represented themselves. The front desk clerk told me they were aware of this problem and that others have complained, but that there was nothing he could do for me, since they just manage the unit, we stayed in. If you choose to stay here, I would confirm that your room comes with beach access

I was extremely disappointed when we checked in to our property. What was advertised is not what we got. I was expecting a one bedroom condo and what we got was a hotel room-a bed and a bathroom. We had groceries packed because we expected to have a kitchen to cook in to save on funds. This was all a waste of money because we ended up spending even more just to be able to eat. Then to add insult to injury I messaged the property to add my two adult children to the property since they were coming. Once we found out it was just a hotel room, there was nowhere for them to stay and we had to find additional accommodations, which was was additional costs.

Well the property looks amazing beach was amazing. We ordered a suite and got what they called an upgrade to a villa. It was off property about 2 miles away. The place was old and way outdated. The main bedroom had two twin beds put together that were horrible to sleep on very cheap. Felt every spring. The tvs had so many controllers to use to get them to work the blinds were falling off even had seen a big roach. We had to pack the car every time we wanted to use the pools or beach access. The appliances were nice but the dishes and pots and pans were so old and not at all family friendly we had a child with us and had mostly all glass dishes and cups. And glass tables. I had to wait in line to check out cause it appeared to be the managers were off talking on the side and another employee was just wondering around but only leaving one person to check people out guess they only care to get you checked in. I will be looking elsewhere for my next visit

Beware if you book thru Expedia they will house you in an off location miles away from the resort so use of amenities is nearly impossible and the room we were provided either had fleas or bed bugs…we only stayed 7 hours and had to leave for a different hotel as they would only offer to upgrade for a substantial charge!

Brightest points were the care and support we received from Mike in the maintenance department at the onset of this debacle. Our grandkids enjoying the beach and our son’s beach wedding.

Love the location and laid back atmosphere. We also appreciated the shuttle service to the beach from Seaside Inn. That was a wonderful, unexpected perk. We were a bit surprised that no one came to get trash or switch out bath linens. The pool area was very clean and tidy! Overall, nice stay for the costs.

It was very easy to navigate. Our room was clean and everything we needed. It was a little difficult to get clean towels.

Very nice room. Great view and very quiet and relaxing. Pool and lazy river were dirty. Unannounced maintenance visit.

Very deceiving by the pictures - thought it was on the beach with lazy river but was not. You have to walk far for all of it. Room is so outdated they should be ashamed to charge those prices. I do not recommend. You are better off sleeping in your vehicle or a tent.

Never got clean towels and to always call, trash was never came and got we had to take out, no clean sheets, no WiFi in the room when it said it did

We arrived early around 11:00 hoping to get in our room since it was on a weekday but unfortunately room was not ready. We headed to beach for the day and came back at 3:15 and told room still not ready and they would call us and text to see when available. So we didn't get in room until almost 4:00 which is their stated check in time online. The room was fine but the shower bottom could have been cleaned better and noticed quite a bit of mold/mildew. Additionally the sliding door to the porch did not lock. I notified the front desk and they did fix it a few hours later. Overall the condo porch area could definitely use some additional cleaning. The outdoor rug, chairs etc were a little worn, mildew etc. The property overall was kept well except I did notice the fountain next to check in looked like it had not been cleaned in months. Overall all the property was fine but I would not say outstanding. We would go back but would prefer another room or accommodation in another area of the complex.

Summerhouse was clean, quiet, perfect location. Pool was nice, easy access to beautiful beach.

We have come to this resort for 11 or 12 years. The prices have more than doubled and quality has gone down. Our Condo was old and outdated. Needed a deep cleaning. Bathroom door in master bedroom was a bifold closet door. No privacy and no lock. Dishwasher not secured to counter and counter broke. Bathroom faucet chipped. Had to have maintenance come out to get Internet and TV working. Won't be back unless it is Verbo ECT.

This unit was false advertising and looked nothing like the photos. We booked an oceanfront room and when we arrived, after taking an hour to check in, we discovered that they did not give us an oceanfront room. After several hours of back and forth, we were moved to an oceanfront room but it was in poor condition. Cracked tiles throughout the unit, a stove that barely worked and a back slider to the patio that did not even have a door handle! This seems to be a common issue, as I spoke to 2 people while waiting in line and they both were also not given the correct units. The staff did not seem to care about our concerns.

Not much The place I booked called 2 hours before checkin stating there were no rooms and they had to move me to another property. It was horrible and not a resort. I plan to fine a complaint with BBB.
