Clean. Updated. Close to beach and restaurants. Sam was very accommodating. Will definitely stay here again. Nothing

All was well for me, for others sake: it is an ideal place for 1 person or 2 people just using the space to sleep. It's an efficient space with a small table and kitchen to make simple meals, but don't expect to make fancy meals or lounge on a couch for a game/movie. You're a 10 min walk from all that pompano beach has to offer though, just go there for that :)

Wall air-conditioning didn't get air blown at bed area, but a fan fixed that.

The exceptionally clean room was more than good for two. It had everything we need and nothing else. Cool water in the pool was a bliss with 99F outside. Sam's genuine hospitality can't be replicated! I can think of almost nothing... perhaps the kitchen/bath lights could be a tad brighter, but it's just me (my low-light vision is clinically compromised).

The room was perfectly clean. The beach is 5 minutes of walking away. Sam was nothing but an epitome of exceptional hospitality and leaving no stone unturned to ensure that we would have no issues with anything. Perhaps a more upscale and/or quiet AC unit and a larger toilet seat could be beneficial, but we also understand for the QPR this facility offers it might be wishful thinking.

Wanted ground floor room as we are older.

The LOCATION! Walking distance to the beach. Every unit has a full kitchenette with lots of nice amenities - a stove & oven, full size refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker, dishes & utensils. Very comfortable bed & a beautiful walk-in shower. Sam, the owner, is an AMAZING & personable host. He’s so kind & helpful & is very interesting to talk to. Pelican By the Sea is a small 12 unit complex so you get lots of personal attention if you want. It’s an older building and I would highly recommend considering the location & the price.

Short walk to the beach!

Sam was very accommodating. Parking great, pool outside my room and clean room.

My husband and I were in town visiting relatives. Although our trip was short, we were very happy with our stay.. The room was VERY clean and Sam the owner couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. We'll be visiting next year and would definitely stay again!!

Owner Sam was a great host. Always eager to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Location was perfect. Easily walkable to beach, restaurants, etc. Parking on site very convenient Nothing but It is old Floridian , not upscale

Super friendly and accommodating staff I would have liked to have a couch or two chairs for relaxing with friends while not outdoors

Sam, the owner, was above and beyond what you expect when you check in. He was very knowledgeable of the area. Helped us with what the restaurants had to offer. He was more than accommodating. The accommodations were pleasant. Bed was comfortable. Everything was clean. Parking right outside your door. Short walk to the beach. Would recommend. Not many restaurants within walking distance.

Clean rooms, quiet, updated, pool, outside sitting area. Our host sam was very knowledgeable of the area and showed us how everything worked in the room and was very helpful. I will definitely stay here again. The next time im in town.

The location is great. The room was immaculate, full kitchen and the staff was exceptional!! We will definitely book again next year.

1)Pool was filthy. Pool maintenance guy told us not to use it the day we were there. He stated it had high algae content. Manager claimed we could still use it while scraping stuff off the bottom. Very disappointing as having a pool was a key reason we rented this place. 2)We had to take a cold shower because manager did not tell us we had to turn on sink faucet to get water hot. All other faucets are slow getting hot. The place is located in a quiet neighborhood. Important to note that the walk to the beach is further than advertised. On the map it looks like you can get to the beach easily. You cannot walk across the main street to to the beach as access is private there. This is an older place but the rooms are clean. In fairness, the manager was a nice guy. He gave us a couple chairs to use at the beach. I was quite surprised he was not willing to make some kind of concession for these serious concerns. In light of these concerns, we overpaid.

Two, rather than one comfy chair. However, the one in the room was very comfortable and as clean as the rest of the room.

The property is great. We were very happy with the spacious room and the terrace that was beside our room. We came to Fort Lauderdale when there was crazy cold weather (MLK day weekend) so it was very nice to be able to sit outside on the chairs and have a coffee and soak in the sun for any few moments we could before going out. There was a full kitchen with a stove sink and microwave and I think there was a full size fridge which is nice if you plan to cook anything. We bought a bunch of snacks and drinks so it was great. There were also some cups silverware and other utensils available. There was a coffee maker which we prefer in the room. There was an extra blanket and enough towels for us but I’m sure if we needed anything Sam the owner would have offered. He was extremely accommodating and helpful. The bed was comfy and the whole room was clean. The shower was clean and hot. I read a few other places around had issues with the shower staying warm and that really was important to me. I take long showers and it was hot for me and at least another person to shower after no issues. Our room was on the second floor and I liked being able to open the window and see our car just for a safety comfort thing (especially since it was a rental lol). The area was safe and nice surrounded by other buildings and I believe some houses if I remember correctly. It felt safe which is huge for me. We also could walk to the beach easily and we saw many people do that. We didn’t have a whole lot of time and due to the weather we opted to just drive over to pompano beach pier area which I kid you not was like 2 min away driving. We liked that we could walk there or drive options are nice. Pompano beach Pier has a bunch of restaurants and things to do and was a nice and affluent seeming area that also felt nice, clean and safe. The beach was very clean and our family who lives in Fort Lauderdale apparently prefer this beach over their closer one which I can understand. Nothing it was super affordable and nice. I loved our stay and I feel the location, safety, cleanliness and how sweet the owner was gave me no reason to be unsatisfied with the property or my stay.

The owner was a very nice gentleman. The light in the kitchen was flickering on and off the shower in the bathroom handle could not control the shower and needed to be adjusted or replaced, the heater that was provided for us barely heated the room enough.

The owner Sam greeted us personally upon arrival. He was so friendly. Walked us to our room. Definitely treated us like family Will definitely stay there again. Nothing everything was perfect
