Fort Lauderdale Marriott Pompano Beach Resort

I booked through a 2nd party. I gave my credit card account for security reasons and got charged my full stay. I had to drive back the the hotel because the email i sent to the hotel nobody responded.

It was a business trip in a good location, with clean rooms and nice, helpful staff. Good breakfast and a decent gym.

Buffet breakfast was a little disappointing on Saturday, because the people doing the seminar had al eaten and some things were not replenished, Sunday we arrived at the same time a most other guests and the buffet was very good. I think things like ketchup should be available rather than having to ask a member of staff when they are rushed off their feet.

Our stay was truly wonderful! The property was very well and the overall service was great!!! We had a fantastic time! The room was very clean, quiet, and had a very comfortable bed. The location was perfect! The pool staff, especifically, the towels guy!! were extremely friendly and fun, a very nice way to make guests feel comfortable and relax. The front desk staff helped us check in smoothly and coordinate early check in and late check out. I would gladly stay here again and recommend it to many people! Thanks!!!

Two nit picky things. The recent renovation did not seem to extend to the elevators. One had a 3 to 4 inch section of the stone floor missing and the #3 button in the other didn't light up- it worked and the elevator stopped on the third floor, but had there been another guest that told us that we wouldn't have known if we would actually stop on our floor. The second thing that we would have liked is for the spa to he warmer. On a cool September evening after a long day of swimming in the ocean and walking a lot, my wife and I were looking forward to relaxing in a hot tub. Unfortunately the temperature was roughly the same as the pool. That said, if my wife and I return to Pompano Beach, we will almost definitely stay here again.

Beautiful resort very clean gorgeous ocean views and really nice pool. Enjoyed the breakfast and lunches as well as drinks by the pool. Very helpful staff except for just one of the front desk girls other than her everyone else was great.

Shortly after checking in, I found a dead bug in the bathroom and had to change rooms. The replacement room technically had an ocean view, but most of it was blocked by the neighboring building, so I had to ask to move again. The third room finally had the type of ocean view I originally booked, but I then noticed a cigarette butt had been left on the balcony, which made me question the cleanliness of the property overall. The staff did try to resolve the situation and provided a complimentary breakfast voucher, which I appreciated, although I did not end up using it. The ocean view itself was peaceful and probably the best part of the stay. For the total cost of the room, resort fee, and parking, I expected a much smoother and cleaner experience. I enjoyed the view, but based on this stay, I would probably not return.

The rest of the property especially out near the pool has serious maintenance issues! The elevators were dirty. No one cleans the pool deck at all. There was green mold in many areas-needs a good regular power wash! The “hot tub” had stuff floating in it including cups, straws and was never HOT. I complained about that three times and it was never addressed. There were ants on the outside bar counter while we ate! Spray some bug spray once in a while !

I was charged $90 for two nights of valet parking even though I never had a car and Ubered everywhere. I was also charged an additional $155 for the room even though my stay was prepaid through Expedia. It’s now been over a week and I’ve called three separate times trying to get the room charge corrected. Each time I’ve been told it would be taken care of and credited back, but nothing has been done. I just called again today and had to leave another message. Nice hotel, but having to repeatedly chase down incorrect charges after checkout is extremely frustrating. Double check your bill!
