We had a very well appointed room with an antique feeling and everything was in great condition and super clean. Great location in the charming little town of Point Richmond!
-
Great place, good neighborhood, near a bog park, some nice little restaurants even a Playhouse. The Hotel Mac restaurant is excellent also. I always stay here when I'm in the Bay Area

The room was realy clean and well supplied. The little town had so many great places to eat.

Our room was spacious, the beds were incredibly comfortable, and having a dining area and mini kitchen made an enormous difference during our extended stay. We especially appreciated the lovely balcony, which provided a peaceful place to step outside and recharge. We truly believe that having such a comfortable, welcoming place to stay played a significant role in my daughter’s recovery. We are deeply grateful for the care and comfort The MAC provided during such a challenging time. We hope to return someday under much happier circumstances. Thank you for making a difficult experience so much easier for our family.

The hotel manager is very rude. When she spoke to me she was very condescending. She talked to me like a kindergartener and made me feel unwelcome at their hotel because I booked through Expedia. It really upset my trip that was supposed to be a quick happy vacation. I know I will not book at this hotel ever again.

Secure parking. High end decorations. Cathedral ceiling. Great artwork. Comfortable bed. Books. Helpful staff

Nice old place. The train right next to the property is annoying.

Point Richmond is a really interesting historic town and a great stop. Cocktails at the lounge are old school awesome. The property team has worked hard to anticipate guests needs when staying and if you can enjoy the quirks of a one of a kind property, you will enjoy this!

I’ve been trying to find the perfect spot to stay while I work in SF 4 days a month. This is it! The carriage house was phenomenal! Softest towels and bedding. I forgot my pillow but theirs was better. The parking was amazing! Gated/protected. Oh and the 2 kinds of jasmine and honeysuckle in bloom welcome you to your room. This place is FANTASTIC!

Desiree Heveroh rescued an old Veteran who had a bad day basically. She has mad people skills and should get a raise! Thanks to Carmen and Anna for a spotless room! Absolutely recommend the Hotel Mac! Very thoughtfully appointed! Best stay in the Bay! Outstanding area food and shops and parking. Laid back, easy does it! Sweet back porch! Treat yourself! And thanks again, Desiree!

I’ve stayed here many times, but never in a suite. It was so big and beautifully decorated. It is truly an amazing place!

I love this historic hotel in Point Richmond. It honestly feels like home to me as I’ve been there so many times. With contactless entry, it’s private and simple to use. It’s in the heart of point Richmond where there are many local shops and restaurants to walk to. We love it here and would not stay anywhere else in this area.

Complimentary cookies and apples. Decent coffee. Interesting neighborhood. Hit all the essentials.

Spacious room with a nice patio and bathroom
-
Lovely patio/deck but gets a lot of sun so it would be nice if there was an umbrella over the table. Otherwise we were very satisfied with the accommodations in the lovely town of Point Richmond.

The restaurant that is at the property is a separate entity but part of the building and is nice. Dinner is great. Breakfast needs work. $94.00 for seafood omelette that was good and biscuits and gravy and sausage and eggs that was not so good. Staff was nice.

I've been staying at the Mac for several years when I visit the Bay Area. I appreciate the upgrades that have been done over that time, such as a better HVAC system in the original hotel, and adding a fridge and microwave to those original rooms. The contactless check-in always works great, and the gated parking is very convenient (and included with the room price). I love staying in Pt Richmond which has good restaurants just a short walk from the hotel, and the beach a slightly longer walk or drive away. The community theater is also very fun! It's a quiet, peaceful and artsy little town.

Staff was great, the bar downstairs is nice and the food is good. It has changed ownership so not what we were expecting but it was still a decent stay. The rooms were very clean. The soft towels and robes were a nice touch. The TVs were tiny and the one in our living room was in a cabinet that the doors blocked. It was impossible to watch unless you move the TV to table in the room. Each room is significantly different in design but if they have multiple available they will let you see and choose. I wish they were all a but more the aesthetic of our room which was vintage but felt more designed while others were a little kitchy and dark.
