Marriott Riverside at the Convention Center

The location was nice but the facilities was under construction and I felt that for the price and what was available as far as services was not a value. The mattress in the room was very uncomfortable. And the room lacked a coziness often felt at most Marriotts.

We have stayed at many, many Marriott hotels over the years. I have a Bonvoy membership and before that was a preferred guest. Sadly, staying at this hotel was by far the worst experience we have ever had. I wish we had known about the remodeling effort. That aside, the curtains in the room were torn, the window was so dirty we could barely see out of it, there was no artwork on the walls so it felt like we were in a cube, the restaurant was bleak, and we had to request washcloths three times. Given the remodeling alone, we and all other guests should have been offered a discount to stay there. The only bright side of the stay was the staff who were very pleasant. I regret making reservations at this location.

The experience was great and the staff were really helpful.

No shampoo or conditioner or body wash in the room. There was only 2 towels for a family of 4. Room 412. Bad news.

Dirty sheets, no one to help during the night, the sheet change request did not happen in the 8-hourv time frame I was out despite the request.

The room wasn’t cleaned the day after we checked in. The manager gave us credit toward our parking which we appreciated. They are updating the lobby, so we had to enter on the side of the hotel. There was a lot of noise. They seemed understaffed as there was only one person who was working the front desk, and there was a line of customers waiting to be helped.

I was moving my son into dorms at UC Riverside and we checked in the night before. We had to unload the car on arrival for security reasons. I enquired about obtaining a luggage cart to make this task a little easier and the front desk staff seemed indifferent to my needs and said they would have to check the other floors. Despite this they seemed less than interested in helping. We then saw another guests using a cart for far less items than we had to unpack. We made about 4-5 trips to the car and back. Some more help from the front desk would have been appreciated.

The room was very nice. The 4:00 check in time is terrible. My friend and I had a show scheduled at 6:00, so the 4:00 check in didn’t leave us any time to use the pool. I understand that times are known, but they should really rethink that time or possibly extend the check out time to 12:00. I also had to pay $30/day for parking. When there is a special event at the convention center, that price is understandable, but not for an empty garage and patrons having to deal with construction. I stayed at the Hyatt Place Riverside across the street last time with a lower price, nicer room, earlier check in, free parking, and free continental breakfast.

In this day and age you have to pay for wifi; fridge was leaking; breakfast was terrible!

The bed and pillows are very comfortable. I slept deeply.

Under construction was understandable, the elevators , outside and inside leaves room for improvement

I found the initial entrance blocked with no warning on reservation of the construction issue. The stay was concerning as toliet was clogged with no answer in 30 mins after notification to front desk..

The Marriott is under construction , however that is not why I gave it poor stars . The shower had hair on the floor, the shampoo bottles on the wall were basically empty . It had the minimum of 2 pumps . The internet kept going out , the TV kept freezing up so we couldn’t even enjoy a show

The pictures fool you. The pool was dirty the hot tub was cold. The sink in the bathroom in the pool was not working.
