Motel 6 Rockford, IL

This was just a stop over less than 12 hours. The room only appeared clean to the eye. Hair in shower so I didn’t use it and when I left in morning saw a few bugs. Heavy musty moldy smell and the ac smelled like cigarette smoke.

It was clean. The bed was comfortable. The owner very helpful. However the fridge didn’t work and our food spoiled. But the rate was very reasonable. I recommend it!

Better access to the pool

But I discovered a partially used soap and opened shampoos in the bathroom, and there was were numerous hairs on my pillowcase. The room had NOT been thoroughly cleaned! To her credit, the hotel clerk did offer me another room, but because it was so late and I was so tired and had just unpacked everything, I only asked for clean pillowcases because all I wanted to do was sleep. The hotel clerk herself, though she did apologize, was cold and very impersonal in nature. Overall, it was not a good experience. I would not recommend this particular Motel 6.

noisy and pet smell in room.

This is not a motel I would recommend to anyone and amount of rooms on sites is not even worth the stay.

Our room on 3rd floor was adequate. However my niece who checked in before us got a horrible room onthe first floor although we paid the same price. Her room had mold and peeling paint on walls and a terrible mattress.

we will find for you. 3 hours waiting in the front desk area for nothing no such room at all and gave us millions of excuses. This weekend was an Ironman event so all hotels were booked so half of our team group had to drive back home and drive early in the morning for the event.

He talked with one if my group that he put in another room with king bed, because he didn't have all the rooms I booked in the lower level, insisting she do the review for him as he picked everything as perfect... After he got the review from her his attitude and demeanor changed toward her, no longer accommodating. His statement oh well you can't please everyone and didn't want to hear anything!! She was trying to share for him to address so there wouldn't be nasty reviews!!

Parking lot was dirty. Guests were coming to the office complaining about their rooms being dirty. This was a busy event weekend, owners took advantage of their employees and guests because they knew there wasn’t anything in the area available.

This is a cheaper hotel with no frills. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet, which was all I needed.

You get what you pay for. I needed an inexpensive room for one night. It is very rundown and has limited amenities. My room had a nice fridge, microwave and the A/C worked fine. The woman that checked me in was very nice. It was fine for price.

Good stay for the price. VERY happy with how well the parking areas were lit.

Clean room. Fair price. Poor check in process. Long wait. I heard many others say the same. Many including myself waited in line for 30+ min.

Looks terrible. Any repairs were probably done 20 years ago. The AC Unit sounds like a tractor diesel, impossible to use... Definitely would not recommend that anybody stay there unless you have absolutely no choice

Exceptional

I love the fact that it was secured and that we could do a 4 a.m. check in when we got off the highway. Staff was friendly. Rooms were spacious and the beds were comfy. Convenient location. I would book again.
