Riverview Inn & Suites, an Ascend Collection Hotel

No hand soap in the rooms. Asked at front desk, and they didnt have any. We needed towels & washcloths and front desk said they would bring me some when she could. Never did.

Everything else is good and no issues.

Cool historical features throughout and friendly staff. Clean facility but the elevators cabs have seen better days and some finishes could use a refresh. The view of the river was great and they have nice amenities that we didn't get to use because we were in town for a wedding. Our biggest disappointment was finding almost nothing available for the complimentary breakfast. No hot offerings, no milk for the cereal, and only a single bagel. Someone from the kitchen must have called off, but they needed to do a better job of stocking alternatives. Had my hungry family of 4 had a better meal we could have left a more positive review.

Very nice and helpful staff, our room that we stayed in was very quite comfortable and clean. And also the continental breakfast is very satisfying! I would recommend this place to stay for a trip.

The upstairs downstairs sweet was fantastic, breakfast was great, and the gym facilities were great.

We booked a two bed through Expedia for a lacrosse weekend and were extremely disappointed upon arrival.After checking in late, we discovered our room only had one bed.The hotel had oversold their two-bed rooms and, with no other options available at that hour, we had no choice but to stay.They offered a rollaway bed, which arrived over 45 minutes later. It was essentially bare springs with a thin sheet thrown over it,completely unusable.Our room was located right next to the ice machine and overlooked the lobby balcony, with virtually no sound barrier which made it nearly impossible to sleep.On top of that, the TV didn't work, and we learned this was a common issue across multiple rooms.While the staff was friendly and genuinely apologetic, that didn't make up for the fact that we did not receive what we paid for.The property itself felt very run down, which contrasted sharply with the mostly positive reviews I had read beforehand.It raises questions about whether some of those reviews are authentic.The front desk initially said they would refund part of our stay, but later explained they couldn't process it because we booked through Expedia.It’s unfortunate that during a busy tournament weekend, the hotel prioritized maximizing profits over delivering on basic expectations and guest satisfaction. They also failed to notify us in advance about the room type change to be able to find alt accommodations.We felt taken advantage of as out-of-town guests. I would not recommend.

I didn’t eat it No internet for 3 days

The picture on the website are misleading. The hotel is on the river but no place to enjoy outside if you don’t walk over the bridge to the park about 3 block walk . Breakfast was not served one day because someone called in. .

The breakfast was the Highpoint. We really didn’t get to use facilities or passing through. We just wanted to place off and it was lovely. The staff was very friendly.

The room was great. The view was great. The lobby is beautiful.

Breakfast was good. Room was spacious. Comfortable bed. Loved the river view. The dead bolt on the door was not alligned and would not lock. One of the windows was really dirty and spoiled half the view. Plenty of room for a 2nd bed instead of or in addition to the pull out couch.

The staff is great and friendly, but there are signs everywhere with Q codes asking for you to tip.

A beautiful setting right on the Rock River. Extremely quiet owing to the mall next door being out of business. The prices were moderate, a welcome relief from overpriced Chicago.

The rooms smelled musty. One had pet odor and remnants of cat food on the floor. Rooms had minor maintenance issues and lack of sufficient lighting. Staff were friendly and helpful. The lobby is pleasant.

The facility is poorly maintained and showing its age. The cleanliness was substandard. There were stale french fries in my bathroom and random Bobby-pins. We also had to remove a centipede.
