Excellent job by housekeeping and the breakfast crew and check in. They were very helpful with the bandaid that I needed.

Thanks for your services we love it and we will recommend more people for stay

Stay was decent and good enough for a short stay/stopover.

I tried to be fair in my review given the age of the property. Pros: staff was very nice and check in went very smoothly. Cons: the hallways had an old, musty smell. Our room had bugs (not roaches) but about half inch long, black bugs. We killed three of them. The bathroom floor had hair on it and didn’t look like it had been cleaned in a while. The shower curtain had mold at the bottom. The shower turned on but you could hardly raise the stopper button so the bath spigot and shower were both running so the shower lacked much pressure. The water was hard to turn off and needed my husband to get the water to turn off. The window in the sliding door had not been cleaned in a while. There was hardly any breakfast items at 8 am when it didn’t close until 9.

Not very clean. TV sucked. Breakfast was terrible. Smelled like pee in the stairways.

Room was clean and well maintained. Breakfast was good. This hotel is nice and I slept well.

Staff was extremely nice and courteous. Room was clean. Breakfast was good. They have biscuits and sausage gravy, muffins, cereal, yogurt, eggs, waffles, milk, and juice. The pool is open and clean as well.

A tired old motel. Could use a deep cleaning. Only way to upstairs rooms is a steep back stairway. There are much nicer motels around it for just a few dollars more.

I booked through this site and paid in full. I booked a room with 1 king size bed. Upon arrival, the woman at the desk instead put me in a room with 2 standard beds and insisted she was doing me a favor, even though I was only 1 guest which is why I wanted the 1 king bed which I expressed to this woman. When I checked out, another woman was working the desk this time, so I asked about the price difference in my start versus what I actually booked and paid for. She said she would submit a refund discount of $10 a day through this site for me, due to the room change and explained that they got busy and gave the room to someone else. She told me I would receive an email from Booking.com regarding my refund… I received no email and no refund.

Upon entering, we were met with the smell of weed. Once we walked down the hall, it smelled like animal urine. Up to our room, the hall smelled like cigarette smoke. We saw the guests across the hall and next door to us and they resembled crack addicts. Once we got to our room, it smelled horribly like cigarette smoke. We checked out promptly and will never again stay with Baymont.

We had an enjoyable stay at the Baymont Inn & Suites in Salem VA. Easy on and off I-81. Easy unloading vehicle through slider because we were on the first floor. Friendly and helpful staff. Pet stay free! Plenty of grassy areas to walk your dog. We saw a deer in the evening grazing in the field across from the front entrance. Breakfast was sufficient with delicious make your own waffles, various cereals, oatmeal, fruit, yogurt, various pastries and coffee and teas. Room was clean, towels were very fluffy and absorbent. Facilities are being updated. Lobby was welcoming and had coffee after breakfast. For a great meal go to Hanging Rock Tavern. It is 0.6 mile from the inn. It has great food and craft beers, beer garden(pet friendly and live entertainment, check their website for dates and bands.

I had three rooms and in one room there was a pair of used underwear in the corner and in another there was a meth pipe under the bed.Told someone at the front desk and it was immediately taken care of but we were there with our three year old granddaughter and what if she had picked up either one

I don’t recommend this place.

Hotel was ehh. Had a weird smell in hallway and room.

Front desk ppl are very nice. It's a run down hotel and tried to go as far as they can without doing any work done. Our door is not working properly. When we close and open the whole hotel can hear. Everything in the room needs the whole nine yards renovation. We travel with our dogs and that's the only thing we choose that hotel. We had breakfast only once because it was terrible
-
Room was clean and fine but had a lot of signs of wear
-
The front desk clerk was terrific, very friendly. The room was on the smaller side, and the furniture wasn't in the best shape but for the price and comfortable beds I'm not upset
-
It is pet friendly, with a place to walk your dog.

Great hotel with great staffs. Breakfast was excellent and warm. Parking was free. Rest room was clean. Internet was with good speed. What else a guest need for 1 or 2 nights.. I would highly recommend this place.
