La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Salina

The fridge didn't have a freezer which was a bummer for people travel and need ice for their cooler like us. Although the motel was in fairly good shape, it could stand some maintenance--our tub faucet didn't work so I had to shower when I really wanted a long soak on the tub.

The staff was friendly enough for the little interaction we had however; the actual place was very run down. I brought the check in person back to our room immediately since we had our Golden Retriever with us and I had to sign a policy agreement if he did any damage. The outside of our door looked as though someone took a crowbar by the lock to open it and the inside of the door was very scratched up. I took photos as well after showing her just in case they were to say our dog did it. I was hoping she would suggest moving us since her expression was surprised but she did not. The bathroom had patched walls but not touched up with paint. The mattress felt like we were sleeping on the springs all night and the back entry door was not able to open from the outside with the key and had a sign that you could not go in that door but could only go out but it was in the back of the building and raining so not exactly convenient. My husband thought it also looked like it was attempted to be broken in to with broken glass at the bottom of the door. The area itself was very depressed with poor food options to choose from. There may have been a better part of town to stay at but we didn’t see it. Over all, it needed much work. The reviews sounded decent when I booked it but my standards are higher I guess. Hopefully they do some work to keep guests coming back but we would not stay there again.

While the staff was friendly, the breakfast was good, and the room was generally clean, I encountered a significant safety issue in our handicap-accessible room. There was no bathroom fan, which caused excessive steam buildup; this made the floor extremely slippery, posing a serious hazard for my elderly mother. Additionally, the trapped moisture attracted a number of flies and bugs into the bathroom. I hope management addresses the ventilation issue to ensure a safer and more hygienic experience for future guests.

This hotel was a good one night stop on a road trip. It took cats. Easy parking and good breakfast.

The property is older and close to the interstate. It’s a good place to stop for westbound travelers.

Nothing. This place s gross Everything. The whole place is dirty, dingy, and musty. One tiny elevator that is debatable to use. Our room door had been kicked in previously. If you pushed from the outside it would come right open. The room key didn’t work. One finally did after a trillion scans. The whole place smelled so bad. We left smelling musty and dirty. They even ran out of clean bath towels. Cleaning service is only provided every 5 days.

The place is an old beat up hotel and is very creepy at night!

Someone did a good job remodeling the place some time in the past the new tile, shower and counter work look awesome. They hired lowest bidder for the plumbing and its a mess. The doors through out the facility are not hung properly and bind when closing. The breakfast was an up grade from the holiday inn express and quality inn I stayed in recently and the pool was well kept.
