La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham San Antonio Northwest

I had a wonderful stay in the Laquinta and picked the Deluxe King Suite! I absolutely loved the modern vibe and the overall design of the room. Everything felt clean, stylish, and well maintained.The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I really appreciated the spacious desk, it made it easy to get some work done during my stay. The room also had plenty of TV channels to choose from, which was a nice bonus for relaxing in the evening. Breakfast was delicious with a good variety of options, and the entire hotel had a welcoming atmosphere. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

It was exactly what we needed.

Overall, it was a great place to stay. Breakfast is picked up right on time so if you don't make it nothing is left for you to snack on.

The biggest issue was cleanliness. The sofa bed came with visibly stained sheets, the replacement sheets were also stained, and the towels had holes and smelled unpleasant. We eventually had to move to another room because the original one was simply not acceptable. What frustrated us most was how the situation was handled. We were told to speak with the manager, but later we were told there was no manager, no supervisor, and that the owner could not be reached. If a guest has a serious issue, there doesn't seem to be anyone with the authority to resolve it. We ended up having to go through Booking.com just to get a response. The hot tub has been out of service for quite some time. Breakfast was another disappointment. The selection was very limited, and basic items like cream cheese and yogurt were not being restocked. Even though staff saw that food had run out, it wasn't replenished unless guests specifically asked. The same thing happened both mornings of our stay. The hotel is also right next to a busy road, so expect traffic noise. There is also nothing within walking distance, so you'll need to drive if you want to eat or go anywhere. Overall, this was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we've had. Problems can happen anywhere, but the lack of cleanliness, poor communication, and absence of anyone able to resolve guest concerns made the experience much worse. I would not stay here again, especially when traveling with family.

Rooms were spacious and family oriented.

We enjoyed the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness of our room, the space we had in our family suite and the kids enjoyed the pool. Breakfast was decent. The hot tub was not working the whole time we were there it was slightly warmer than the actual pool which was a bummer. There wasn’t a sign or anything saying it wasn’t working either which was confusing. The “dining” table we had in our room was super wobbly no matter what we did it wouldn’t stay stable. I’m sure if we had said something about it they would have fixed it but it wasn’t a big deal and we were hardly using it anyway.

The breakfast was one of the best continental breakfasts that we've ever had. The food options were great. And the rooms were very clean, and the beds were very comfortable.

You get what you pay for. This is a refurbished hotel, which is better than other hotels for the same price. Beds and pillows very uncomfortable. A/C worked well, but the humidity in the room was bad and there was a constant musty smell. Shower very low pressure and dripped when turned off. Dog barking in the middle of the night on our floor. Breakfast had variety, but did not taste very good, especially the OJ and apple juice which are very watered down. The TV was nice with several channels. Staff was helpful and nice. Overall, stay was okay but probably wouldn’t stay there again.
