Motel 6 San Antonio, TX - Downtown - Alamo Dome

We have stayed here multiple times. No issues, staff and owner are great. Always friendly and work with you on the deposit if you come up a little short. The hotel could use a little updating like a face-lift to maybe bring it back to life a little. But other than that it has been a good place to stay. I will say we booked a room for yesterday (08/05/26) and although we had an emergency an didn't get to stay the night. The room was a little less clean than we are used to. And the a/c took a little longer than I would have liked to cool down the room. They leave them off if nobody is staying in it. So it has to play catch up when turned on. But I cleaned the room, took off the sheets and folded them and the used towels and put them in a pile on the bed for housekeeping to remove. Removed all trash and turned in the key and received my deposit back. I wish I would have gotten the insurance they offer if something were to happen and you couldn't stay as planned. But you never think anything will happen and now we are out almost 70 dollars for a room we didn't get to stay in more than a couple of hours. And left it cleaner than when we got it. Lesson learned for next time I suppose. But anyway, yes I would recommend this location.

The staff at night and the view of the planes coming in I didn't like how my first room had a used condom in the trashcan and the second room had keys from the previous tenant and footprints on the floor

Bed mattress comfy... slept well. Pillows kinda flat. Rooms were clean, AC was a bit loud, and doors were squeaky. No breakfast... not even coffee. Price is reasonable.

Absolutely nothing It smells like mold, cigarettes and paint - the front desk charges a $25 cash deposit…. I never got it back I paid near $200 for a special event that week for such a nasty place Go ahead and book at an actual hotel not this shithole.

Good place to stay and location

Front desk refused to check me in, saying I didn't have reservation. I showed my itinerary and receipt and they still refused to try to look it up. Refused to give me a room. Horrible experience after a long journey at 1am.

Room was clean, and location is great with all the resturants near by. Great price and helpful staff.

I stayed there a week, halls smell like weed, front fest staff is unprofessional. House keeping sucks, they don't know how to clean the room I had after I was changed to a different room had holes in the wall head boards that are broken rats in the halls. Disgusting place to stay!

I stayed there a week never was offered clean towels, the bed sheets where full of cigarettes burns and stains, I saw rats in the lobby and the old lady at the front desk is absolutely unprofessional and rude. I mean I know you get what you pay for but this motel by far is the nastiest motel 6 I have ever stayed at.

There’s nothing positive about this shit box, it’s disgusting -It stunk -The door for the room was not sealed so you could hear everything -the bed was likely 20-30 years old, it also stunk - the shower was more like a hose -no shampoo the soap was soap was something that resembled soap Dirty, load, gross, check in had bullet proof glass and I was billed twice. Almost my neighbor farted and burped a lot, with the door having no seal I could hear them clearly. The place smellled So bad I could tell if his farts seeped over, not sure it was so stinky you better get used to it.
