The surrounding area is... seriously unsafe. The room was smaller than most bathrooms. The bathroom (4 per floor) was just a toilet and a door and shared between everyone on the floor. There are 2 showers on each floor which can easily fit two people, maybe 3. The sink is in each room. It was hot that day and we had to keep the window open, no problems there except the noise from outside keep increasing as the afternoon and evening went on. There was no way to get a sound night sleep, even with the window closed which would still have made for a poor night's sleep. The staff was very good at what they did, but overall I cannot recommend this hotel and we certainly will not go back.

Rooms were clean and well maintained. Staff was friendly and accommodating.

Other than the block it’s on is the sketchiest one in San Francisco. if you need a no-frills, just a room to sleep and a place to stash your bags. This is the best joint 100 yards to the Bart station to/from the airport is perfect.

The staff was very friendly and kind, and that is the one good thing I will say about this place. The bed seemed unclean, the window did not lock, the walls were paper thin, and the room was extremely warm. I am a solo traveler and to be fair I did make it out alive, the bed was comfy enough and I did go nose blind to the distinct but undefined stench eventually. The shared bathroom was scary and I didn’t even entertain the idea of using the shower room. Also coming back during the night was a little frightening on account of the extremely rowdy homeless crowd and the smell of urine singed my nose hairs. No regrets but I also will never return.

There are unhoused people outside the front door 24 7. They are doing questionable things involving questionably legal substances. 7 days a week this is true but it's worse on the weekends. This was the scariest place ive ever stayed at in my life.

Nothing! Horrible location and dirtiest hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Extremely unsanitary. Pee stains on the sheets, Hairs in the bed, Dead spiders, Blood stains on the pillow cases. Location filled with homeless people. Very unsafe.

Great location, BART next door. Plain but adequate accommodation. Stairs to climb.
-
Bad location, no bathroom in unit and terrible smell.

Location was okay if you’re wanting to be in the heart of the mission! No guests allowed, never heard of that for a hotel. And it said no where on the booking paperwork. Rooms were not kept up to date with fixtures or amenities.

The owners / staff were great. You get what you pay for and I just didn’t know how run down it works be. Lots of locks, I did feel safe. When the coffee didn’t work in the morning, the managers were right there to get it fixed. Run-down. Cheap room decor, furniture and bedding. Recommend to wear flip-flops everywhere maybe even in your room, not sure how or how often carpets are washed and bathrooms are tiled and shared. I stepped on a sharp part of some broken tile in the bathroom

Area outside the hotel is a disaster. The Mission is a great place to spend time. Plenty of options for coffee houses, restaurants, and bars. However, the area just in front of the hotel is full of people loitering.
-
Nothing, because that place is not a hotel as they claim to be. The location, environment, and everything – it was all really bad. I would never recommend that place for anyone. Drug smokers everywhere.

Excellent central location in SF. Room was clean, and the hotel was quiet. The Mission area has a lot of unhoused folks. But everyone was civil, and even as a middle age petite woman, I felt pretty safe. Shared toilets was new to me. I would prefer to have one in the room. But considering the affordability of the hotel, I'd take this minor inconvenience any day.
