Hacienda de Leal, BW Signature Collection

We checked in late and the staff person was so friendly and even gave us some snacks as all the restaurants were closed in the little town. The bed was comfortable and the place was quiet. This place is so quaint and beautiful. We definitely will stay here again.

Property was quaint and room was big. Only thing was walls and ceiling really thin, so was woken up by neighbors both nites with front door slamming and other unsavory sounds. Not great if you have young kids staying with you.

The rooms were noisy due to thin walls and proximity to the freeway. If you stay more than one night you need to have your room key reactivated (no one told us that at check in) But the courtyard was peaceful to enjoy in the evening and the breakfast was good with many options

First, this is an older property. Nothing is new here. We stayed here to visit Pinnacles NP. I read someone's review that called it charming and wondered if it was the same place, but after our first night I agreed. Our room was as clean as it could be (and it was huge!). The bed was extremely comfortable. The charm is the outside hacienda style courtyard. The olive trees, lavender plants and evening lighting were magical. I wish I could attend a wedding or party here. I imagine it was quite the place when new! We would definitely stay here again. The town is charming with several boutiques and a mission to visit. Eat at El Jardines and eat outside in their garden. It was 90° but very comfortable under an umbrella with a breeze.

Nice property and location

Everything was nice and clean and they even serve breakfast in the morning in the lobby area. My only issue was that the mattress was somewhat uncomfortable.

Bugs in room 220. Spent the night and woke up with small and large bumps all over my neck and back. Didn’t get a chance to complain to the front desk since I had to leave in a hurry and no one was at the front desk when I was trying to check out. Called and waiting to hear back from the manager, It hasn’t been that long that I’ve been waiting but felt like I needed to leave this review now to warn others. I found a similar google review complaint for bed bugs recently in the exact same room which makes me angry that they chose to put me in that room when the hotel wasn’t full. There was also an additional review that cited bed bugs (not sure which room) but sounds like they have a problem they’re not taking care of.

Everything was great! There was one chair in the room that probably could've used some reupholstery.

Clean older property with very friendly staff. Looks to have been recently remodeled. Well maintained. Felt safe at night. Limited snack or food amenities. Close to town and mission. Would recommend for family and budget minded travelers.

Very peaceful

Very nice hotel close to the Sam Juan Bautista Historic Park and easy access to the highway. Quiet and clean, with a hot breakfast. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Breakfast and everything was good until I stayed at Hacienda de Leal from August 12–14, 2026, in Room 220. Following my stay, I developed numerous severe skin lesions, including large fluid-filled blisters, and required medical attention. I have extensive photographs documenting the reaction and reported a suspected bed bug or other biting-insect exposure to the hotel. I contacted the property multiple times by email and phone and provided photographs. Despite being repeatedly told that management would contact me, as of August 20 I have received no response from hotel management. I also reported the incident to Booking.com, Best Western Customer Care, and San Benito County Environmental Health. I did not personally find or photograph a bed bug, so I cannot state that bed bugs have been confirmed. However, given the severity of the reaction, I requested that Room 220 be professionally inspected. What concerns me most is the lack of response from hotel management after a potentially serious health complaint. I had stayed at this property before and did not expect this experience.

The place wasn’t a five star resort but it was definitely a clean place, rooms and bedding were clean, it was convenient, we stayed the night for one night for a soccer weekend with our kids, staff was friendly, it was a pretty relaxing environment, had breakfast available, hung out in the courtyard with some coffee, highly recommend to stay!
