This is a charming hotel that is family built and owned. Our room was large - we had a fireplace and gigantic tub San Juan Bautista is a delight town - Well worth the stop. Be sure to eat at the Smoky Point BBQ - delicious food !!

The room interior was nice & clean, fireplace, spa worked (loud as diesel engine), our room was on 2nd floor, balcony was a good idea expect it was so close to the building next door there was no view and I could probably touch the wall of the tall building next door if I tried hard enough, the lobby and interior of hotel was nice, but exterior of property would lead you to assume otherwise, needed some upkeep. The staff was minimal, breakfast was okay as expected, the rate $$ to review ratio was good enough that we chose to stay here on a Sunday before Memorial Day night. I would stay there again if I had to.

Note was made mention at the front desk that there was no wifi. And the vending machine had no items.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful

Old charming historical inn with a free great continental breakfast in the middle of town:)
-
it was in walking distance to the Mission which was the purpose of my visit. There was plenty of parking as well and not bad for a 'continental breakfast' because it including some limited protein expected a lot more for the price. the rm was fine, but nothing i didn't get for a $100/night at motels on this trip. also don't know why hotels don't offer variety of pillow firmness-please consider

It had a nice, homey, cozy feel. The style of the place is beautiful There was a giant moth in my room. Got moved to a different room and that one had a floor that was 100% clean but better with no insects.

Beautiful, comfortable, clean great location. The breakfast could have been a lot better.

The tranquility

We really enjoyed our stay. Lovely spot in San Juan Bautista! Amazing huge tub and two shower heads!! Only bummer was the jacuzz jets weren’t working :( but still had a lovely shower and hot bath!

Gorgeous, family owned and operated inn in San Juan Batista. It is obvious that the owners take great pride in this inn, and rightfully so! The place is sparkling clean and lovingly maintained. Located within steps to the heart of town, yet quiet and serene. Our King room on the second floor had a covered balcony and a gas fireplace. The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious, well furnished and charmingly decorated. My husband and I enjoyed our stay immensely and hope to return in the future.

Great feel to the property, staff were friendly and helpful. Nice room in a wonderful town. Breakfast was very basic but it was nice to have available.

An old school hotel, no frills yet very charming. It is refreshing to know that reasonably priced lodging that offers nice amenities are still out there. Also, complimentary bottled water in the room is a nice touch. I mention these for folks who find these important for their stay. The internet in the room is a bit slow, but good in the lobby. Also, it is an older building, so you do hear your neighbors, but nothing some white noise on my phone couldn’t fix.

The building was delightfully decorated. There is family history here - ask the owner. The room was clean, spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast was good, fresh fruit, yogurts, great coffee and make-your-own waffles (my husband's fav). They recommended dinner at nearby Smoke Depot - which offered a 15% discount if you dropped their name. Dinner was tasty and staff friendly. Nice small town feel.

Nice room and staff. Basic breakfast.
-
The room was dark and dreary facing a concrete wall, somewhat depressing considering it's such a nice hotel with charming decor. I wish I'd been asked if I preferred a lighter, brighter room or one with a balcony. Giant bathtub with two showers going at once. Breakfast was decent. Very close to the mission.

Located on the main street in the center of town. Lovely lobby area and atrium leading to the rooms. Dual shower heads and a Jacuzzi tub. Strong wifi. Comfortable bed. Cozy fireplace. Friendly staff. Continental breakfast included hard boiled eggs and waffles. The Jacuzzi tubs in the neighboring rooms may make noise at night or early morning. And there was no comfortable chair in the room. Would be nice to have one near the fireplace. No microwave ovens in the rooms, but there is one in the breakfast area you can use.
