Tarpon Tale Inn

This was such a wonderful place to stay. I was a flight attendant for 33 years. I like staying in a small place. The trees, flowers, little plants out by the fire pit. I love riding a bike and it is so adventurous to ride around Sanibel. It is heaven on earth. My place was perfect for me, such a cute beach cottage. It was so clean and provided beach towels and beach equipment if you don’t bring your own. Enjoy this place as quite of bit of the island is turning into big resorts. Have fun!

Nothing to add here. I could noy find one thing to say negative. Except we weren't there long enough!

There is nothing I can really complain about.

Everything was great- property was well maintained and had everything we needed. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location to beach, shops, restaurants was really convenient! We will stay there again next time we go to Sanibel!

Good location Peaceful & quiet

The Inn was an awesome experience. Joe, the host has a very charming and comfortable Inn. The hospitality was incredible. We will definitely be coming back often. Nothing we loved it all.

Very cute rooms, bikes to ride the island on, and plenty of amenities like lotions and beach gear. Nothing comes to mind.

We loved everything! Honestly Tarpon Tale Inn is just delightful! Joe was wonderful from the minute we booked and you can feel the pride and love put into his beautiful place. We loved being so close to the beach and the outdoor shower was a great touch!! Nothing.

Great location. Close to the lighthouse beach. Food right across the street. Very comfortable and has the basics of what you need. Very clean and cozy.

Great location about a five minute walk down quiet beach road to the beach and the lighthouse. Also the lighthouse shopping plaza nearby was a great source of excellent food and ice cream! Comfortable room with a great staff! Everyone was friendly, welcoming and helpful. We especially appreciated the availability of the outdoor shower to clean off from the beach before coming inside. In addition, our gracious hosts allowed us to leave our car parked there after checkout so we could enjoy one last visit to the beach. Also, they allowed us to use their cart and chairs and afterwards use the outdoor shower, all after checkout! We will be back for sure!

Very clean room, employees very helpful n kind. Had bicycles on property to use. Also outside sink to clean collected shells, had shovels, beach chairs a shed full of beach items to borrow. No bathroom to use after checking out. Offer an outdoor shower but no toilet.

Great location. Walking distance to everything or ride the bikes. We loved everything about this place. Quiet and relaxing!

Far exceeded our expectations and hopes. We were welcomed by the owner who gave us a tour, oriented us to the Inn and community, showed us the amenities, which included bikes for getting around with lots of biking lanes on the Island. Also the amenities included everything for the beach-beach cart, chairs, umbrellas, towels, shell hunting equipment and bucket with a sink for cleaning the treasures, outdoor heated showers, table and chairs on the partially enclosed porch outside your door for eating, hammock and bench swing every few cottages for relaxing. Quiet, within two blocks of both bay and the gulf with white sand beaches… beautiful. Set within trees with designated parking place for each room. Our room which was one of the smaller ones, was great for my wife and I, with a fridge, microwave and dishes. Restaurants right across the street and next door, with a couple of stores within walking or riding distance, even some grocery stores a short ride down the street. We will be back!

Warm and welcoming staff Quaint and enjoyable property a short walk to the beach. They provide everything you need from beach chairs, umbrella, cart, bicycles and even sun tan lotion!

Perfect place to relax! Staff was great! Short walk to beach, shopping, and places to eat. Highly recommended!

no breakfast, great location, only two towels, basic and clean. More towels, a closet would have been nice.
