Best Western Plus Inn Scotts Valley

The room was decent and ac was great, however, the noise level from other people outside our room door was very loud! Twice in a row. 3 or 4 guys were talking loudly in front of our door and walking back & forth. Guests probably should be mindful of speaking loudly after 10pm or before 8am! Maybe post signs to remind them! When people are using the digital coffee maker, it takes quite a while to make a specialty coffee. My husband and I drink regular coffee so we had quite the wait. Plus it came out looking kind of odd when dispensing. Perhaps because the specialty coffee dispenses from same spout? Go back to the individual carafes. PLEASE. The breakfast was okay. The potatoes were kind of burnt looking and soggy, and the bacon could be a better quality bacon. Paper thin. Everything thing else tasted fine. The staff were very kind.

Good location. Parking was in too small and area. The water and the pipes smelled like a sewer. We won't be staying there in the future.

Staff was helpful and wonderful.

The room was nice and standard, no frills. We were on the bottom floor next to the gym,. The screen on the window was coming off and not secured. That was a bit off putting as we were next to the street. The darkening blinds over the window did not have a cord or means to pull down for security. The staff notified us we had left items and had a way to return them to us, that was very nice.

The room was spacious and clean. Housekeeping serviced daily but was not consistent in making the bed each day and restocking bathroom amenities. I stayed for 6 nights and the bed wasn't made on 2 days. Bathroom amenities were missed on 2 days. The breakfast offerings were excellent...waffle maker is always the indicator of a plus to "breakfast included" stays. Espresso coffee machine with many choices such as mocha, latte etc at the press of a button. Hot food offered daily such as bacon/sausage, potatoes & eggs. Also, cereal, fruit, variety of bread etc. All in all a very good place to stay.

Check. In was easy....my contact with LUIS was awesome, helpful,friendly,acknowledge able.. & handsome cute too the eyes... ..keep him as a employee and Give him a raise he deserves.. his new friend.... from the valley...

Very nice and clean facility.

Room didn’t have any hooks to hang our bathing suits or towels. The towels and bathing suits were Strong across the room just so they could dry carpet was dirty. It just wasn’t the best western standard.

Great service and breakfast!

The room and all facilities were very clean. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was our highlight of the trip because it is much more than your typical continental breakfast that is served at a hotel. Not only did they have an assortment of bakery items, cereal, fruit, yogurt, coffee, and juice, but they also had waffles, pre-made omelets, a breakfast meat, and breakfast potatoes.

The window screen was broken and there was a sign to not touch it. Light was going through from outside. I like my room darker.

The hotel had a crystal clean pool and hot tub. The breakfast was great. Parking right in front of the room. Only problem was the closeness to the street.

It's a nice hotel. Unfortunately, it's on a busy thoroughfare, and below a hill behind which is a freeway. This prevented me from experiencing the quiet of the forest atmosphere for which the area is known. The coffee service in the dining area was splendid. I had cappuccino from a versatile machine and it was good. There was also four juices, including orange juice. There were many coffee sweeteners. Not so in my room. There were two Sweet 'N Lows, several packets of white sugar, and one creamer for four packets of coffee. When I tried to call the Front Desk, the phone didn't ring. The Direct TV access was bad. First, the remote was not a Direct TV remote, so there was no Guide. Secondly, there was no way to search for a program. You had to wait for the onscreen menu to slowly scroll through every channel starting with a low number, so if you wanted to watch something that was on channel 235, you'd have to wait till it got there. Consequently, I didn't watch TV. Finally, they allow dogs, but there is no natural area outside for a dog to walk in as there is in many hotels. The water in the sink came out warm immediately, with good pressure, and the fan worked well.

The buffet breakfast was fabulous. My wife and I had a great one night stay.

The staff was friendly and welcoming from check-in to check-out, and they were very accommodating to our service dog, which we truly appreciated. We slept great because the area was nice and quiet. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely stay here again. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Scotts Valley/Santa Cruz area! Breakfast was delicious!
